Sidewalks anyone?????

There will a trail around the entire property just inside the property lines as part of the security system, so the work begins on phase one. The trail has been cut in leveled and graded with the toys we have.

1x4's were used to form up the sidewalk that needed to be at least 42 inches wide and 3 and a half deep. These retaining walls were installed last winter when we first started working on the project.

I went out and bought a cement mixer to help the amigos, but they prefer to mix the cement by hand, they said they get a better feel.

So it began, bag after bag after bag all day long for 8 days. Build the form, place the wire in and 4 pieces of #8 rebar, mix and pour.....

I haven't had the heart to tell them about putting bricks on top of the sidewalk yet, because they did a great job finishing the sidewalk. They have great pride in their work.......

Meanwhile, the heating and air guys are working on what goes where. I found out later they were reading up on the elevator and how it is installed. Those two rolls of wire on the right side of the picture have gone from 178 dollars a 1000 foot roll to 408 a roll now as copper trends higher......the house now has just under 32,000 feet of 12/2 wire.

Boomer is just one of those dogs that has a sense of humor, he likes to walk around an smell.........well you can see. Most dogs walk up and smell the front, Boomer takes a different road........must be a counter trend trader....ROTFL!!!!
