Gable ends we are finishing up

The gable end on the west side is having it's batt and board being installed...

The scaffolding is nearly 70 feet off the ground and there is no room for any mistakes. Stainless steel nails and screws are used so it won't have the black looking bleeding after a couple of months...

Two coats of Cabots cedar sealer.....say that 10 times fast. We are also installing the windows while we are up here....

The gable end at the kitchen entrance is also having it's batt and board installed.....where are those painters again?

The windows are in and have the trim also installed around them....things are moving faster each day...

Time to start taking down the walkboards as they have completed this end of the house.

Which then leaves us the one over the front entrance, it won't take long to finish up this puppy.....

See that didn't take to long.....the three gable ends actually took 4 weeks to finish up......but it looks great.

SOOOOooooooooo, I wanted a certain type of ceiling fan for this house. Instead of having 4-6 normal ceiling fans that spin you into boredom, I decided to have a shaft that turns entire length of the great room and have the fan mounted on the shaft and turned sideways.........NO PROBLEM SHE SAID....... Then she called tech support for the outfit she works for......HOUSTON we have a problem. The house is support with 10x10 post every 10 feet thru the great room. The mounting brackets are made to insert a max of 9 feet 10 and a half inch shart.......so we are 1.5 inches short....
After talking for an hour about this, phone calls, checking the catalogs, blah, blah, blah, the bottom line was....IT CAN'T BE DONE.

Well, I have been told a few times that I can be a little aggressive, in your face and up your )@#%&@)@)#)_@#_!%@)&!%.......So I said, "Well, I guess it can't be done or maybe it's just by you!" They left, but in about 20 minutes they came back and told me that she had talked to the owner of Casabanca Fans and they will get-r-done. NEVER TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER......NEVER!!!!!
