Post and Beams...here we go again....

With the anchor bolts and plates installed it was time to start putting this puppy together....

The first things we had to do was square up the ends, one end does have the factory notch so the other end was cut to length and squared........12 inch thick with a 4.5 inch saw blade....anyone have a hand saw laying around?

After attaching an anchor plate to the post, it was time to set the first one.

Then the second one and so on, each post was then set plumb and leveled.......

Bracing between the posts was used to keep the spacing correct until the beams could be installed. Laser levels are great to use to insure the great fit.

A lot of thinking and planning goes into everything up here......or maybe he is just day dreamin........

These beams being installed on the porch give a whole new meaning to the word....HEAVY. Each one has been notched at the millworks and should just fit together perfectly......

Ok, maybe you need to get a power tool out and play with it for a second....or two....or three.......ROTFL.

Each piece is handled like a new born.....no dings on this stuff.....
