Bobbie Bowden.....and son.

On Wednesday I traded until lunch and then raced over to just east of Asheville, NC to the Billy Graham Learning Center to have dinner at the FCA retreat. During the dinner I was inducted into the Tom Landry Society. This was someone that came by total surprise. But that was only the beginning of an interesting day for me.

After dinner, We joined that guys, football players from all over the southeast that were there for a football camp along with a little does of JESUS. From 7:00am until 9:00pm they exercised, ate, listened to people witness for JESUS. Before the last meeting or huddle of the day, they play music and the kids sang and jumped up and down and clapped their hands....it was unreal to a point.

Over 600 young men were at the camp, and in the main hall listening to learning about being saved. They played one song and I noticed that most of the guys knew the words of the song as they made a train around the aisles......it was unreal to listen to them sing about being saved.......

During dinner, which included Shaun Alexander, Marvin Harrison and Eddie Taubensee Bobby talked about his son getting a job at Clemson. Because he had to move to Clemson in January and leave his family behind because the kids were in school, he didn't have an address. A couple of days at a friends house, a couple days in a hotel, a couple days in the dorms, and so on. So when the Spring edition of player is released Bobby and Terry decided to mail each other their schools' press releases.
Bobby asked Terry what address he should use? Terry replied, "Just put Terry Bowden, Clemson, SC",....dad because everyone here knows ME. When Terry asked what address he should use to send his copy to dad, Bobby replied, "Bobby Bowden, USA."
There were jokes like that all thru dinner and I thought I busted of people....GOOD GRIEF.

After dinner was over, we all went out on the front porch and rocked in these rolling chairs that will bring ya good luck when you rock. Terry was a riot, but a little fella.......
But what a moving day this was.....TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY......http://www/fca/org
