Up goes the stairways

I found these pictures the other day and they are putting in the stairways....here they are lifting the first part of the third floor into place...


Then the second part was lifted into place using an electric hoist......


So standing on a swinging stairway piece is almost as bad as swinging out there on the scaffolding 60 feet up or walking on the roof.....but they were trying to figure out how to twist the second piece so it would set on the third floor.....


Finally the pieces came together with a little gentle loving care.....ROTFL.


OK, maybe a 2x8 and some good ole fashion prying.....


Then the sparks started to fly and I was all over the place...running to make sure that the house didn't.....well you know.


Sure enough within a couple of minutes....HERE WE GO AGAIN......


By the time he got done.....8 of us were watching to make sure nothing happened as he welded the stairs to the "I" beam....


After about an hour, he was done playing.......and we all had a good laugh, but we still watched the floor trusses and items being stored on first floor for any signs of trouble.


From the first floor, what a great site to see the first set of stairs in place.....now what about those roofers....where are they?


It doesn't look like much, but this box can produce from real sparks.....glad to see them carry it out the door and YOU'RE OUT OF HERE........
