You hear it all the time, kids today are worthless

Oh I hear all the time about how the kids of today are just worthless, lazy becasue they won't work, stupid because they can't make change, the list seems endless at times.....yada yada yada......

I know kids like that, but I also knows kids that packed up their stuff and left today to go to just outside New Orleans to help rebuild two houses this week. It's been a year and just last week "THEY" decided to start removing cars to a compound so the owners could claim them or have them crushed. It's not the President's fault it's just "THEM"...wasting billions of tax payers dollars giving money for breast implants, vacation to Hawaii and so on. So churches across the south aren't waiting for the government to solve problems, they are working together to solve them.

A couple months ago, during spring break they went down to Gulf Port to help one family get back on their feet. With building materials, tools off they went and within 4 days the family had a new roof and new walls in their home. The interesting part of that trip was that next door an elderly couple with a handicap child prayed for someone to come an help them....they had prayed for weeks. When the youth group found out about them, they realized that they had exactly enough material left over to put a new roof on their house also. So they stayed another day to complete that job, because once the roof was on, then other people would come in and help fix the house up.

So here is a group, that helped....YES....but then they gave up another day from their real jobs, their family and friends to do "HIS" work. Today as I hugged my son I told him to give it all he had.....he looked back and said, "Is there any other way, Dad."

Just folks helping others who can't help themselves and expecting nothing in return and what's wrong with the kids today? NOTHING I CAN SEE!!!!! God's speed..
