Workin on an octagon....and working and working

Somewhere in this picture are 3 deer...can you see them......:)

Before we get to furr on this process, they cut in the holes for the can lighting over the front porch.....

But the octagon was starting to get to everyone as making sure the cuts were right and double checking after double checking it again........

No need to stratch around me....hehe as they used a truck load of this stuff on the great roof....

The cherry picker was the best thing I ever bought...I think, because I would hate to have to pay for this on any rental program. It is about at the end of extension here as they worked on the top of the gable end.

The facial plate is three layers thick because of the width of the plate over 24 inches.....so they built the entire facial plate in one piece so it could just be lifted in place and attached...

James is ready to install the facial plates....just waiting for those hand signals...

And up it went....one giant piece 36 feet long and 3 layers thick....we will have to trim the ends later.....for now the facial will be attached using ollies.....

It's starting to look like a house as the roof system is coming together......the brackets on the gable end are ready for their fly rafters....

A smaller facial plate is also being worked around the octagon was the beams are being installed...

It seems like forever, but day by day you can see progress as they continue to rap up the front gable end......

With the ollies installed into the facials plates from behind so the head of the ollies would not show.....they are almost done with the process......and they continue to sheet the roof and apply tar paper....
