Meanwhile back on the first floor.

While everyone was busy working on the roof and man handling the trusses, down on the first floor it was time to finish the stone work inside the house.

This stone work is called East Tennessee stack stone, where you work in what they call "flats" along with the regular stonework. They dropped strings from the ceiling to make sure that the edge is square and plumb.

They are paid by the square foot, so doing these posts is money in the bank for them.....ROTFL.

The steel beams that hold up hollow core panels has been covered with a fake beams, in order to dress up the garage area.

With the rafter tails being finished in the garage and these guys working in high gear it will not be long before they finish up all 3 posts....they still have the one on the left to do.

With the heaters running, full blast, to try and get the temperature up to 60 degrees
they are working on the beams......and the guys up stairs are waiting...

Two coats of stains are applied to get a deeper look, and each coat is wiped down. This is a 16x24 beam that Tino is working on here.

Every Wednesday, Fay shows up to clean the Jiffy-John....with up to 22 people working here 6 days a week and some eating those re-fry beans.....well you know.

The fourth floor windows are on site now along with the French door for a guest room.

Windows everywhere.....I made sure that these were tied down because of the winds that we get up here from time to time. And I removed all the cranks for the windows since they might not be there when we finish out the windows...

The windows for the fourth floor along with the door came in at just below 100k......now all those rafter tails seem cheap.
