Frist bar, Third bar, Ideal and even the TAZ kick some old fashion butt today!!!
There are days when you can't make a dime, the difference between a hobbiest and a pro is just one thing. The hobbiest will waste his time looking for more toys while the pro will waiting for the next setup....
Today even BobCathy could have made money.....I think even Biggs could have gotten this one right, shoot there is a even bet that Little Ricky made money. The first bar triggered short....the third bar trigger short....the 50 CCI ZLR setup nicely and on and on.........and even if you missed the ideal mother of all trades....guess what?
At 10:04 there was a very nice TAZ with the stoch at the top (Point "P") for a short scalp......follow the stoch down and when it took out the high of the last bar on the 70 tick manage the trade....half off or cover it since it's a scalp......
And for anyone that was trying to buy this today...THANK YOU....I LOVE YOU....YOU'RE THE BEST TRADER IN WORLD......baaaaa
Two Very Differest Lives
Two Very Differest Lives
STORY NUMBER ONE
Many years ago, Al Capone virtually owned Chicago. Capone wasn't famous for anything heroic. He was notorious for enmeshing the windy city in everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder. Capone had a lawyer nicknamed "Easy Eddie." He was his lawyer for a good reason. Eddie was very good! In fact, Eddie's skill at legal maneuvering kept Big Al out of jail for a long time. To show his appreciation, Capone paid him very well Not only was the money big, but also Eddie got special dividends. For instance, he and his family occupied a fenced-in mansion with live-in help and all he of conveniences of the day.
The estate was so large that it filled an entire Chicago City block. Eddie lived the high life of the Chicago Mob and gave little consideration to the atrocity that went on around him. Eddie did have one soft spot, however. He had a son that he loved dearly. Eddie saw to it that his young son had the best of everything: clothes, cars and a good education. Nothing was withheld. Price was no object. And, despite his involvement with organized crime, Eddie even tried to teach him right from wrong. Eddie wanted his son to be a better man than he was. Yet, with all his wealth and influence, there were two things he couldn't give his son; he couldn't pass on a good name and a good example. One day, Easy Eddie reached a difficult decision. Easy Eddie wanted to rectify wrongs he had done. He decided he would go to the authorities and tell the truth about Al "Scarface" Capone, clean up his tarnished name and offer his son some semblance of integrity. To do this,he would have to testify against The Mob and he knew that the cost would be great. So, he testified.
Within the year, Easy Eddie's life ended in a blaze of gunfire on a lonely Chicago street. But in his eyes, he had given his son the greatest gift he had to offer, at the greatest price he would ever pay. Police removed from his pockets a rosary, a crucifix, a religious medallion and a poem clipped from a magazine.
The poem read:
The clock of life is wound but once.
And no man has the power.
To tell just when the hands will stop.
At late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own.
Live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in time.
For the clock may soon be still.
STORY NUMBER TWO
World War II produced many heroes. One such man was Lieutenant Commander Butch O'Hare. He was a fighter pilot assigned to the aircraft carrier Lexington in the South Pacific.
One day his entire squadron was sent on a mission. After he was airborne, he looked at his fuel gauge and realized that someone had forgotten to top off his fuel tank. He would not have enough fuel to complete his mission and get back to his ship. His flight leader told him to return to the carrier.
Reluctantly, he dropped out of formation and headed back to the fleet. As he was returning to the mother ship he saw something that turned his blood cold; a squadron of Japanese aircraft were speeding their way toward the American fleet.
The American fighters were gone on a sortie, and the fleet was all but defenseless. He couldn't reach his squadron and bring them back in time to save the fleet. Nor could he warn the fleet of the approaching danger. There was only one thing to do. He must somehow divert them from the fleet. Laying aside all thoughts of personal safety, he dove into the formation of Japanese planes. Wing-mounted 50 caliber's blazed as he barged in, attacking one surprised enemy plane and then another. Butch wove in and out of the now broken formation and fired at as many planes as possible until all his ammunition was finally spent. Undaunted, he continued the assault. He dove at the planes, trying to pop a wing or tail in hopes of damaging as many enemy planes as possible and rendering them unfit to fly.
Finally, the exasperated Japanese squadron took off in another direction. Deeply relieved, Butch O'Hare and his tattered fighter limped back to the carrier. Upon arrival he reported in and related the event surrounding his return. The film from the gun-camera mounted on his plane told the tale. It showed the extent of Butch's daring attempt to protect his fleet. He had in fact destroyed five enemy aircraft.
This took place on February 20, 1942 and for that action Butch became the Navy's first Ace of W.W.II and the first Naval Aviator to win the Congressional Medal of Honor. A year later Butch was killed in aerial combat at the age of 29. His home town would not allow the memory of this WW II hero to fade, and today, O'Hare Airport in Chicago is named in tribute to the courage of this great man.
So the next time you find yourself at O'Hare International, give some thought to visiting Butch's memorial displaying his statue and his Medal of Honor. It's located between Terminals 1 and 2.
SO WHAT DO THESE TWO STORIES HAVE TO DO WITH EACH OTHER?
Butch O'Hare was Easy Eddie's son.
Doing what needs done.....and more
While the guys work on the roof, gable ends and so forth, the rockers were working on their part also. Putting the cap blocks on the walls. The one laying down is using a squeeze bag to fill in gap between any of the stone.......
The second floor deck is also being worked on....notice the straps on his fellow as he had a small problem working just above the retaining wall.....which is 42 feet high plus the 12 he is standing on.....
We have decided to have those sand colored cap stone cut back out and replaced with a more natural stone......some where burned pretty bad during the fire when the house fell onto the second level decks.....
I told the foreman that if they didn't lay the stone correctly I would take a hammer and knock it back off......so they make sure all the edges fit nice and tight.....and I like that also.
The foreman's wife also works at setting stone, but around 2:00pm she breaks away and goes and cooks lunch for the rockers....now I don't know what she cooks.....but it sure does smell really really good.....
We are also removing the trees that will not make it because of the damage from the fire, you can see the black color on the one side of the tree. We had a pro come in and help us decide which trees need replaced....for ever tree we will plant two new ones......
I now have three dogs.....two goldens about 4 years old and finally settled in....and this kids. You can tell that someone just got yelled at for running off by the look in his face......but this pup (about 10 months) is the funniest one ever.
We continue also to work on the landscaping around the property getting ready for spring which is about 3-4 weeks away now.....retaining wall made from large stones are being built in 4 locations.
The crane even makes this an easy job....as we lift stones in place...tomorrow night I will post an accident we had moving these 500 pounds stones around...
Hand signals because we are to far below the other wall that the crane operator can't see anyone......cable up and boom down...ROTFL

TAZ just another day......another scalp
I came in the office this afternoon before going to see the home theatre people.....well needless to say the TAZ was kickin........Points L & M.
Point "L" Market was in an uptrend, stoch was oversold, ticks at zero......and
the rest is history....
Point "M" Market was in an uptrend, stoch was oversold, ticks at zero......and
the rest is history....
Point "N" Market was in an uptrend, stoch was oversold, ticks at zero.....wait a minute we had an open bar there............what is an open bar......the bar has 4 data points....high, low, open and close. When all 4 are below zero (in this case) that would be an open bar....so what happen there....
We call that.....IT'S OVER......since we had a change in the swings...the price had taken out the last pivot low and the ticks dropped below zero....it's over for now.....so I left and went to get them to wire up the theatre room....
South gable end is next......so get'r done
12
Well the last gable end to finish was on the south side of the house....so let's install the facial plate.....
13
Working high in the air, with 20 mph winds at times and it is overcast and cold.....nothing is ever easy is it...
The facial plates were built on the ground...all three layers and over 30 feet long, having a crane makes a lot of things easy.
Once the facial plate is ready to be attached, it was screwed from the back so no holes will show from the front....ollie screws were used at each purlongs and to the TGI's on the roof system.
The hardest part was getting the angle correct where both facials meet....that took a while of cutting and sanding to get'r right....
Some people just walk up the plank....some have other thoughts of getting into the front door....it's funny to watch them since this is only 5 feet off the ground...
So it was Saturday and we were bored playing security guard when I decided to finish the facial plate....the hard part......getting out on that walk board 60 feet in the air...but after we tied the scaffolding to the house about 3 places it was time to say a little prayer and hope for the best.....
Well the first problem was to cut the tip off the front facial plate and trim the two other plates back and plumb them up.......ever work 60 feet up and leaning out over the edge of the shaking set of scaffolding to do a back cut? You guys think daytrading is nerve wrecking.........
My son cut the boards because there was no way I was coming off this walkboard until we had it done......I was amazed, he cut them all perfectly....I guess all that yelling does pay off...hehe
Thumper has it made as she walks around getting hugs and kisses all day......and we think dog are dogs......

TAZ...the ATM machine .......you just didn't know it....
This chart is from Thursday morning while I was in the TradersHaven Chat room on relay7 in hotcomm.com The market had opened and the first bar was paying on the short, the key thing to me was that the ticks were below zero. Every time we had a TAZ during the sell off into 15m support it paid, simple as that. But take a look at something else, because I know you don't believe you can trade without some juicey little secret indicator or maybe even a whole bunch of "toys" on your charts.
So, we have points A & C.
Point "A" the stoch was in the overbought area when this setup happened.
Point "C" the stoch wasn't, now both of these setup paid today.....but just something for "YOU" to study.
Point "B" the ticks didn't move lower but actually had an open bar above zero....so in my studies I have found that would woid this scalping type setup.
Later on Thursday morning we were all long in the chat room, well at least those who admitted a direction were.....any short sellers were keeping quiet was we talked about long and longs and more longs.....We had several points of interest....
Point "D" the stoch was in the oversold area when this setup happened.
Point "E" the stoch was in the oversold area when this setup happened.
Point "G" the stoch was in the oversold area when this setup happened.
Point "F" in both cases here the ticks again had an open bar below zero.....and again according to my studies would have voided any long setup FOR ME.
I know, people out there are thinking, OK this crap worked on Thursday big deal...I looked at it once and found nothing. Well, on Friday we had the same deal going on.
Points H, J and K.
Point "H" the stoch was in the oversold area when this setup happened.
Point "J" the stoch was in the oversold area when this setup happened.
Point "K" the stoch was in the oversold area when this setup happened.
Someone has asked in the comment section about the "MOAS" system and how it's doing.....it's been completed and is doing just fine.....actually. However, it will never to shown again and is very well protected from prying eyes. You can thank your good ole buddy Woodie for that one since it was his band of merry men that spied on my private password protected chat room in hotcomm for almost a year seeing what we were doing, looking at posted charts and saying about this and that... without our knowledge or consent.........and then one day he posted a chart with part of that system was in the upper left corner. And people actually have the nerve to ask why I have a bug up my "ASS" towards that man.....why don't you spend your time "asking him" were are the donations from the first series of TAL went, Hoot took in $30,000.00, at the door, in Chicago and the broker picked up the tab, he stayed at the Famir's house and we all paid for his lunch and dinners....why don't you .....afraid he will ban you, then what kind of a man are you.......and you wonder why I call you sheep.......ask him or is it you are afraid of what the answer might really be? Ask him about the $5,000.00 check from the funds that were leftover after the first TAL in NJ......ask him......
I wonder why the broker, once they saw what was really going on, never sponsored another one of his events......which answers the quesiton about PFG.....you pay them directly...they handle the money and send the balance to MAW.....not Susan, not TonyUK, not Biggs, not Bernice, not Jimsy, not BobCathy, not Barbara and certainly not WOODIE himself. So why don't you ask him....where are the donations from the first series of TAL's since there now seems to be about $12,000 left over from the last two....and all that changed was who handled the money.....hummmmmmm
I guess TonyUK and his wife, after flying over the pond on frist class again to setup the internet connection will be staying in AZ after the NJ TAL waiting for the next one.....Wonder what that will cost the kids......I mean business, the wine alone should make AZ a breakeven one at best.....
Rafter time over the pantry......
Brackets and rafters tails are being installed over the pantry, seems like this process has been going on for years.....at times.
After the brackets were installed and these about 2/3 the size of those on the gable ends but still heavy enough that we couldn't lift them without the crane. Once the brakcets were installed the fly rafters were placed....
Each piece was setup on the brackets first so they could be measured correctly, then back down to be cut, this was a slow process but it has turned out better then I first thought.
It took about 3 full days to complete this gable end over the pantry but that was better then 6-7 days for the bigger ends.
This crane has paid for itself, we have it so long that the rental company is now charging us 20.74 an hour based on a 40 hour work week.....so it's just another guy working, except it doesn't take time off or show up late for work.....
All the rafters are sanded, stained and finished before they go up in place and that means we only need to go back and touch up a spot or two......since we use cloth straps.
The rafters we attached to the roof trusses with lag screws every 2 feet to add strength to the roof systems.
The rafters that hung out over the side of the house created a problem because at first we had no place to put the scaffolding, so they had use 26 foot walk boards to get up there and work.
It's always nice to see they sheet the roof,.......
It didn't take long until the pantry roof system was almost finished.....were is that turr paper again.........

TAZ = a ATM money scalping machine.......
So there I was, trying to figure out how to get into this move, I missed my entry for whatever reason but I knew by chasing it that I was only setting myself up to buy the high of the bar just as the market reversed on me. I'm sure this never happened to anyone else but it seemed to happen to me all the time. Just look at the chart, the stoch is overbought and I should be thinking about a short here, but a long....what am I thinking? Well, first of all, "IF" I was lookin to short the market the price would have to take out the low of the setup bar and that didn't happen so I guess using price to confirm trades might be a good idea....who knows?
So I started to study the internals by attending several of LBR's workshop, in fact, I even had a private workshop at her office in FLA over a weekend and went deep, deep, into market structure. 99.9% of all day traders use either an indicator or a group of indicators to determine when a trade is setting up. But indicators are based on some average of closed bars, which means you are just fooling yourselves if you believe price is going to go up because your secret sauce is pointing north.
As the market starts to run, when is it safe to entry and join in the rally is a major question we all have faced, nothing worse (Besides losing money) then watch the market run for 5, 8 or 12 points and you can't find a safe defined way to entry. That is one reason, I drop down to a 70t chart so I can see the market pause or go sideways as the $TICK move back to zero....which I call a TAZ since it's easy to type. Thursday was a classic day for the TAZ....market moved up....went sideways....ticks back to zero.....and then up we went.....in fact in TradersHaven on relay7 in hotcomm.com it actually got a little boring in there just this setup..........
But looking at this chart, we see the $TICK had moved back to zero, the stoch I like to use cycled down and when the $TICK lifted........well it was good for a number of reason including the limited risk if I was wrong......me wrong.....did I say that out loud?
Well, of course the first example was a golden trade and we are now near outer space on this rally....could we actually get more? Well, the $TICKS pulled back again to zero while the price held firm.......stoch cycled down and $TICK popped up and again we moved higher.......in fact at 11:57 we had yet another one of these scalp type setups........boring I say......boring in a trending market.......

Cheese is just part of the sandwich.......

Dennis,
Today (2/22/06) I was a piece of cheese. Took the first bar trade and was stopped out also took the 3rd bar trade and was stopped out. Ouch! Can you please talk about this day some...
Thanks,
Mario

Mario posted this in the comment section so I "would" like to talk about it. Well, first of all there is a lot I could talk about and pretend that I make a killing and you were stupid in some way and didn't trade it according to the rules and so on......but the truth is I got nailed on both trades also.
The first bar trade: The stoch on the 70t was oversold when it triggered so I allow it to come back up and re-cycle down into oversold again and then use the high of the last bar as a place to take half off....that would be point "B", but it never made it down there.....so when the third bar triggered........I reversed since my stop it a tick above the high of the first bar....LOSER!!!!!!
The third bar trade: The stoch on the 70t was overbought when it triggered so I allow it to come back and re-cycle up into overbought again and then use the low of the last bar as a place to take half off......that would be point "D", but it never made it up there....so I was stopped out with a LOSER!!!!!!!
Once in a while this happens...simple as that....BUT what to do after that might be a good question?
That would be my ideal setup because I am down at this point and would not be playing games......I was watching the ticks and saw them move from below -400 to above 400 and then back to zero....as price held. Anyone that knows me, knows I am all over that one and we even talked about it in TradersHaven as it unfolded. There was also at setup at "F" when we saw another 50 CCI ZLR with the stoch and painting bars......and of course "G" gave us another one......to consider a trade.
The secret sauce was green and only gettin greener....as the day unfolded and I can only say thank you to all the short sellers today. I did a short for a number of reason including a divergence in the internals against price after I had covered this move...again we talked about it live in the chat room. But when "G" setup and triggered I reversed and got it back plus lunch money......
So you have to have a plan, one that you will live by and die by, that is solid in your eyes and belief and stay away from the latest greatest noise you hear or think you see the holy grail......you already have it...you just need to believe in it.

East end...time for the gable......
Brackets started to fly on the east side.....
After finishing the west side...this side went very fast.........
Each bracket is attached with lag screws from the back side after a couple of 2x10's were nailed in to support the brackets...
It only took about 30 minutes to set each one....
Anyone want a cup of coffee......instead of having bottled water for the guys, we have switched over to coffee.....which takes bottled water....hummmmmm
Working and walking around on the roof takes some getting used to.....one thing to remember here.....in order to take this picture of Joel and Tino, I had to climb all the way up there.....WHAT WAS I THINKING.......ROTFL.
Just as soon as the brackets were set......up came the fly rafters for the east side of the house.......cold, windy and overcast...it doesn't matter.....JUST GETER DONE!!
By the end of the day, the entire rafter system was finished.......what a day....
Kids say the darndest things......was a show hosted by Art Linkletter and later by Bill Cosby......but on Sunday Drake took the cake......we go to a bapist church and it's a straight laced quiet group of holy rollers.....for sure. Gatlinburg has about 11 million tourist a year and from time to time one will drift into church Sunday morning for the service. This Sunday, a family from Alabama were sitting two rows in front of us and they must have come from one of those.....yelling type of churches and said Amen...Amen Brother......a whole bunch of times during the service.
the pastor was telling a story about a farmer and a mule and when he came to the punch line.....the fellow from Alabama said....."Amen Brother" and Drake yelled out....."OH YEA"......and you guessed it....the pastor looked at Drake and said....."Thanks for bailing me out on that one Drake".....everyone was laughing....it was a classic....
