Part of the roof system was made from cooper sheets....on site. A standing seamless cooper roof was installed over the porch and around different parts of the house to accent the house.
First trick is NOT to rub your hands all over the cooper pieces but instead try and keep your finger prints off the cooper panels.....
The down spouts will be made from 3 inch chains hanging from the gutters.....so first they made the holes, installed the fitting and the support bar for the chains.
Using the high lift, these guys thought they had struck gold, since they didn't have to climb around on ladders all day.....
Nothing nicer then cooper when it's still out of the box so to speak....needless to say there was alot of cooper used on this house....
The down spouts in the back of the house were also going to be made from cooper, so holes had to be drilled in the concrete deck on the second floor.
After the cooper roof was finished being installed and the trim pieces in place, the next part was cleaning the roof of the thousands of finger prints.....the bridge is in the background....
Needless to say working 60 feet in the air off a 16 inch walk board takes some getting used to.....no one was in a hurry up here...watch each step....boys.
60 feet in the air from the driveway plus about 38 feet to the bottom of the retaining wall made everyone but two guys find something else to do and in a hurry....this was one of the final steps on the outside of the house and soon the scaffolding would be coming down for the last time.......and about time.
