I am confused a bit, for someone who told me to stop posting this stuff, and just enjoy a nice day talking to someone I can see and listen to music, 12 times this weekend you posted comments.....and in some cases just minutes after someone had left a comment.....so I am confused stay at the computer and check blogs for updated comments....or go outside and get some sun?
But, I would like to ask you a question, since you implied that you take the high road in everything. Let's say you actually left the house, this weekend, to go to 7-11 for a slurpee and talk to the people standing outside on the curb. You had locked all your doors, but did not realize that a window, in the back bedroom was closed but unlocked. While you were gone, someone came into your house using this window and went thru your underwear draw, jewelry box, refrig, and they went thru all your files until they found your secret recipes. Not only that, but they installed or used a technique so they could see everything in your house anytime they desired.
You find out what has been going on, so what would you do.
A. Just sit there and finish your slurpee?
B. Tell them to stop it if they want?
C. Pretend it never happen and move to Arkansas?
D. Contact your attorney, and have them contact the authorities and put the bastard in
jail and then sue them in civil court for every penny they ever had?
Some people believe, I guess, that is was all your fault because you didn't lock all the door and window. Others would believe that because it was private property and you had the expectation of privacy, that anyone doing this would in the wrong.
Now you seems like a smart girl, so I would like some advise.....which way would you go? A....B....C....D?????

Yes you are right, we shouldn’t waste our day badmouthing on woodie.
But you are missing the point, Dennis is not badmouthing; he is exposing the true or may be more accuratly what he has witnessed or experienced…. And this is a different proposition altogether….
Wouldn’t you feel you have the duty to warn others when you have experienced something bad? Well I hope so and I would be grateful to you for doing so.
I’m a very simple guy, sometime naive but who is always willing to give the benefit of the doubt… I’ll tell you about my experience and just that..
I have spent couple of years in WCCI trying to learn CCI and all its nuances.
I was there with many others, day after day, GB, Gio, Barb, Jeff, Sport, Kiwi, Fitzy, Angela, Hoot, Rover, Ricky, Dr.Famir, Croc, Earl, Dloomis, Clint, Dax, TonyUK, CIA and many many others... At some point or another these guys were the heros of the room and their name was praised along with Woodie on a daily basis.
I have tried real hard to make it work with or without “stinkin’ price” but CCI wasn’t for me… I have moved on to learning the basics of trading – price action and that did me good.
Lets face it, people who get into Wcci (or any other room for that matter) are not traders, they are beginners and/or very often they are desperate to learn something that is going to save them from having to get back to day jobs they hate. These people put themselves in a weak position and it is morally very very wrong to take advantage of that. It is always wrong to take advantage of desperate people because they are willing to believe anything you tell them as long as you give them hope that you have a solution to fix their problem.
Wake up!!! no indicator will EVER, EVER, EVER give you a fix to loosing money in the markets. The Holy Grail, the answer to your problems has always been and always will be in you and you alone – hard work – mastership does not come cheap.
The following statements alone are the biggest BULLCRAP I ever heard since I started trading -and are dangerous to your financial health-

Why? Because if you fear price, it means you don’t have a plan and you shouldn’t be trading in the first place….
It means you are probably under capitalized and you shouldn’t be trading in the first place….
It means you are trading with scared money –money you cant afford to loose- and you shouldnt be trading in the first place….
It means you don’t have enough confidence in your trading plan / system –If you have one – and you shouldn’t be trading in the first place and go back to sim trading.
It means you are a gambler and not a trader! FULL STOP!!!!
“CCI is not a lagging indicator!”
CCI IS A LAGGING INDICATOR – just like any other indicators around!!!!!! Don’t fool yourself! Isn’t the formula based on the close of the bar ??? Well that means that as long as the bar hasn’t closed ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN…. And even when the bar has closed, anything can still happen…. A big player can suddenly comes into the market and makes it move against all expectations… and there is nothing CCI or anybody can do about this…
I apologize in advance because I'm gonna have to be a bit rude here….
CCI predicts f**k all! Like any other indicator it gives you a roadmap and a roadmap alone. A list of potential scenarios that are about to unfold. A roadmap! Nothing less nothing more!!!
You really become a trader when you come to realize that ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME !
Have a good look at the formula of CCI. Is there anything in there that is rocket science and enable CCI user to predict price ? or predict price one bar ahead! Common don’t make me laugh!
Lookup the formula, CCI is "only" a mean deviation of price vs moving average. That means you could take a charts with only price bars and a moving average, and trade patterns of price against the MA and you would have the same results.....
Have you really tried it? Have you looked into the formula? Have you experimented and played around with all that stuff... if you are serious about it, i bet you did.
If you were a racing car driver and making a living of it, i bet you would know all there is to know about your car and the engine.
A shamu/famir, ZLR or any other patterns will predict the next price movement AS LONG as they are successful!!!!! Yeah i know that is obvious! But it is so obvious that you dont realise it. But guess what the same applies to ANY, ANY ANY other indicators….
MACD, STO RSI….. have the same ability to predict price movements and depending on the timeframe you decide to trade will get you sooner or later in the move….
The true is that we are dealing with probabilities here and nothing else. Imho it is more important to understand the psychology of the market revealed by both the price action and whatever indicator(s) you might be using…
Understanding the psychology of the pattern you are trading and the probabilities associated with it, is a very good start – but you have to look at price first….
What do you see when you see a ZLR ????
Do you understand what a ZLR is ??? Well I hope so because it is the oldest, most common and simple pattern in trading history….. inst it a retracement ?
Well when a retracement occurs there are two things you can do, you can either ANTICIPATE the retracement and for example buy at market or with a limit order off you favorite moving average OR you can wait for CONFIRMATION when price has ALREADY bounce off the moving average or the bollinger band or whatever tool/system you may be using….
In the first case you are ANTICIPATING and you can do so with ANY indicators as long as it is part of you plan/strategy.
In the second case you are WAITING (waiting for the last 20 ticks/seconds may be)….
Lets be specific here, when you are waiting –even the last 20 seconds- for the price to bounce or to go through --which is like saying the zero line reject the CCI or the CCI goes through ? When the zero line rejects CCI, price has already gone into the opposite direction. The move (if there is one indeed) has already started. if this is not lagging than I don’t know what is…
CCI is a lagging indicator like all the other indicators and it does not predict price or price movement....
It is the way you use CCI or any other indicator that makes it lagging or predicting. Common let’s cut the crap here. Enough of this egomaniac bullcrap served day after day.
The only thing that can predict accurately price is… YOUR BRAIN, YOUR INTUITION!!! The best, the fastest, the meanest machine in this world… and that is YOUR Wholy Grail!!!!
And the last one…. “reacting is for the king, thinking is for the slaves !!!!”

YOU have to think ahead…. You got to draw in your head all the possible scenarios that are forming on that screen…. You got to be creative and think about the worst and the best that can happen…..You got to be ready….
Then price will tell you what it wants to do ….. nothing but nothing else will!!!
If you are just reacting….. you are part of the laggers, the one left behind…. The ones that are part of the big crowd who all want to get in at the same time because they all watch the same thing…..
A trade is by definition a divergence of opinion combined with an agreement on price. When the big crowd wants all to get in, who do you think is selling to them ? think about it….
By making those comments Woodie is harming people he doesn’t help them….
Now I don’t know about the TAL money, about deals with data feed and charting vendors about HC deals and all the rest….. So I wont comment on that…. Absolutely no clue whether this is true or not….
I hope this is not true I just hope because deep inside me i have really believed in and love that man. And nobody likes to be a sucker. Like someone else said in previous blogs, WCCI was part of my family… and the voices and the names of all the moderators were known to my whole family.
I also hope this is not true because lots and lots of good people have put so much efforts, hours and even their soul in WCCI. For their sake I hope this is not true.
What I know is this ; I left -not because I was loosing MORE than I was winning—I am not a quitter- but because of the inconsistencies –facts that I could see with my own eyes... not someone’s else eyes – just mine. And god it took some time to come to that conclusion – that I had nothing anymore to do with that room and that man.
Things like “no boasting” policy when woodie himself would announce the number of ticks he just made in “uncalled” trade and his usual “not too shabby!!!”
That would get to me specifically when having taking the same trade as him with his system with his parameters and same stop I would get a looser ---- how many times did I feel “you got to be shitting me”
Or for example when Woodie was boasting about the ton his son was making in options using the CCI – truly if that is not boasting, then what is ?
Things like uncalled trades got to me “my euro people, did you take that last ZLR” and 50 “y” would show up immediately in HC, but nobody would post real-time they had taken that trade….
Initially PMs were allowed, you could download the daily scripts of the room, it was pretty open!
When I joined the room, I –for one- was using esignal- woodie –was using sierra I believe, some were using tradestation – some moderators were using CCI and MACD and it was fun … people were using more or less anything they’d like but CCI was the link.
For each software vendor there was a guy that would know how to code the CCI according to woodie’s rule. Everything was open.
At that time there was what ? 100, 150, 200 traders –cant remember.
Then not so long ago, woodie started to push for esignal and most in the room turned to esignal. Woodie did not force anybody, but you should have been there to feel the pressure, because there was a pressure to take on esignal.
There was/is a no soliciting policy but never mind the fact that esignal got basted everywhere. If that’s not soliciting than I don’t know what is.
At that point if memory serves me right Dloomis was the hero of the day coding most of the woodie EFS, then came Earl and his warm voice.
Eventually Bernie took over (Bernie, if you ever read this, I sincerely hope your daughter is getting better – one thing why I use to love Woodie and nobody can take that away from him is -- whether he was doing it from the heart only him and god know about that- he was doing some good- When Bernie’s daughter got to hospital he came in the room and asked everyone to pray for her. Many people (including me) took the phone, called the hospital and bought some gifts. Many people in the days following that call prayed for her. In the next few days we all felt so good to see a picture of her on her hospital bed smiling with all her gifts. It was one of the very few high I have lived in that room.
Woodie started to ban PM, to ban anything that was not CCI, people started to leave.
People have been banned.... for what?
because they made a real bad offending joke ? NO
because they were disrupting the room ? NO
because they were solliciting ? NO (the only guy authorise to solicite in the room is woodie himself)
simply because they disagreed on sone ver interesting points that would have benefited everyone!

There is no two way of saying this. There was some kind of uneasiness floating in the room.
Things were taking a bad turn (bad for the people who had put their soul into that room)
Then woodie started to add all the bell and whistles including sidewinder but at that point I was gone…. Sidewinder - i was there the very day when woodie was asking for siggestion about the name, lol.
Simple question, i dont know if sidewinder has become public code. if it has why locking the code for so long? simple question, everything used to be open, why this change ?
The room was no more about clean cut charts. CCI charts were as complex as the other charts woodie and the room would mock. The room was no longer opened.
Now I am a very simple man. I mentioned it at the beginning of this post. I expect if you tell me that too many things on my chart is bad for me to stick to that point of view…. After all you are the guy with 28 years of experience who has seen it all aren’t ya ?
But when you keep telling me this and at the same time you keep adding stuff on, somehow my little brain fails to understand and keep up.
When on top of that you make a joke about others charts, about others indicators, when you keep laughing at others because they are not doing what you are doing and then you do the same…. Sorry I cant follow you. I am disappointed, my heart is broken I feel I have been mislaid and I am gone and there is no way back.
Now, BobCathy, or anybody else for that matter, you may choose to disregard my post, my humble experience, you may choose to reply and slam down point by point each statement I have made. You may choose to call me names. Or you may choose to consider some of the arguments and see how they relates to your experience.
The truth is I DON’T CARE. Do whatever you want! This is your life not mine. This is my one and single post about sharing what I have experienced in that room and I will not fall into lengthy discussions about things being true or not.
I considered it to be my duty to share this experience hoping that others on the same path will be spared some of the traps I fell in. That’s all!
I could not be in WCCI and have a real discussion (with arguments and counter-arguments about some of the points I have raised) without getting banned.
That’s why I have taken the time to make that post. Because I believe they are valid points which should be raised but cannot be raised unless you want to get banned from the WCCI.
I am happy to be out of wcci, i have found the answer to my problems... hard work hard work and hard work. building my own system and not use blindly others' methods, be patient. learn the foundations of trading. I have not found peace yet but thats ok i believe i am on the right track. the rest amounts for a tin of beans.
Having said all this, I wish you all(including Wcci members) good trading and good luck on the path you have chosen to take.
Remember it is the journey that counts, not the destination, so try to relax and enjoy it.
PS: I am posting as anonymous because I am a nobody to you and you are a nobody to me. I don’t care who you are and you don’t care who I am. If we were living in the same town that would be a different matter. I would probably take the time to come to you and introduce myself and enjoy and share trading experience and skills. But through internet names and nicknames amounts for a tin of beans.

Can somebody help me understanding this? DrBob, Verus and Dharma open a demo room with 12 other people just to discuss 50CCI because the Woodster does not allow them to talk about it and the got banned for life. MAYBE WOODIE DID NOT LIKE IT AND LET'S SAY THAT WAS FINE
The DrBob, Dharma, Verus & Co. room goes from 12 to 40, to 50, to 70 , to 90 ...... IS WOODIE WORRIED? ..... to 120 ..... to 150! and now it is a real trading room with great traders.
Friday morning ROVER45 - Greatest WCCI's moderator after everybody left - goes to this new room, takes the microphone and without asking anybody starts moderating and openly advertising and promoting his services. MAYBE THERE ARE NO MORE "STUDENTS" AT WOODIES? ARE ALL OF THEM PAYING TO ANOTHER "TEACHER"?
What kind of treatment would you expect Rover was going to get? I mean, if Woodie was as fair, honest and crystal cleas as all his fans say! Everyone would assume Rover was going to be banned for life! for ever! BUT NOPE! He did not get banned! He did not even got a slap in his hand!
He is still at WCCI and he is still a moderator .... So:
1) Was this a personal thing against Dharma, Verus, and DrBob?
2) There are no more "Students" to take at WCCI?
3) Are Woodie and Rover together on this move?
4) Woodie is OUTTA moderators and need to keep Rover no-matter-what?
5) Is Woodie a double-standard / double-faced guy?

Thank you, thank you Sport for finally telling the "Truth". it takes courage (time and money) exposing the big cheese! i did not understand how "he" mislead so many Real traders. i for one thought well "he" must be the real thing. anyway, I papertraded some cci patterns (always with prices and other indicators). I was profitable (on paper). i also papertraded without prices (just to see) and it is a worthless piece a sh.. system!!! how could real traders (as in CB) and others let the Cheese do what he did? once "he" started talking about "no stinking prices" he scared the hell out of me and lost all credibility. the other thing which really got to me was the No boasting and "he" was always talking about the f... profit he made, So did Gio, R7, rover and countless others. it was so frustrating!
Sure is an intellegent bunch here abouts.....LOL.

7:19annony...I agree with much of what you so passionately wrote. I had many of the same thoughts/experiences in wcci. I would say the cci worked well for me but NOT as a stand-alone indicator and as such it was almost impossible to post real-time trades linked to a pure cci trigger. The few times I tried posting I got nailed with warning pm's (or just outright nasty ones). Figured I didn't need the aggrevation (along with the ever increasing number of "rules" to adhere to) so I left. I had been with the group from early in paltalk days. The group's evolution was more than dissappointing. I must say, you really learn your trading ability when trading solo. I would recommend it for traders of all abilities. Nothing solidifies your own style as well!...and price action unveils a huge part of the puzzle.

CATHY...... I had been in Woodies CCI room for about 8 months when Cathy arrived as a moderator. Cathy had been trading the CCI for 4 months and and clamed to only ONE LOSING TRADE in those 4 months... (YM) Woha.. anyway that was your signature !!! Ill always remember that coment.
BobCathy pretended to be a profitable trader on EliteTrader.com for 1-2 years until she tearfully revealed that it's not the case. I have no respect for fucking idiots like that who even lie to themselves. She's probably still a loser, I would bet.
Cathy, you are such a newbie as to what has been on-going for a very long time. I still remember "cathy puts her crash helmet on " from the #emini in mIRC .. I believe those were "hope" trades you were betting on. Then one day, poof, you just disappeared leaving a few asking what happened to you and where did you go. Was it that last crash helmet trade? Do you still do hair? Do you think all of us just got off the boat? It is a good thing to defend someone if you were there and have supporting knowledge, otherwise you have no clue as to what you are getting yourself into.
