Reporters were called this morning before the markets, as Sport announced that he was closing the TradersParadise chat room. The reason given was two fold:
First, the purpose of the chat room was so that traders could come and share their ideas about trading in an open and free venue. After the events, of May 19th, when he kicked and banned several moderators because, I guess there was an issue of going to a private room to talk about trading the 50CCI. The TradersHaven chat room was born, and therefore my goal of having an open and free chat room so people could actually exchange ideas has taken hold and is growing. And there is no reason to have several chat rooms open and distract people who want to find ideas to help them trade.
Second, and on a more personal note, I don't want my ideas that I had the chat room to compete with anyone else. That was never the case and I don't want anybody thinking there is a conflict of interest here, that I am trying to make any certain person or group look bad....In order for me to benefit from having a chat room in some way.

Can you not delete the blog, I think it is a valuable resource for traders. Maybe you can make it tradershaven website like the other site on wCCI.

am going to speculate as to what happened in Aug 2004. I would guess that you were secretly invaded and spied upon by the henchman of Wooden forest. If that is true, then you sue them as well as HC for making that possible.
Also it is illegal according to the law to provide free servies for some rooms and charge others, check it out with your attorney.
Woodie gets his "free unlimited rooms" stuff by calling it a referral fee since allegedly he drives so many customers to HC (not including puppets, I assume). Of course, it's all nonsense. There is no official HC referral program. Nobody ever put Woodie's name down as a referral when signing up for HC. The exact monetary "value" of what Woodie brings to HC and how much he is given in kickbacks (services & cash) is all blurry and fudged. It's not on any official contract, nor is it reported as income by Woodie personally for his own use nor by Woodie & Tony, Inc. That's just the tip of the iceberg too. As the Cultists say, "So what? What are you going to do about it?" Nothing. Makes great blog fodder though.

anonymous 8:38 I guess I'm ignorant and stupid too, but with all due respect, can you explain why HC is not allowed to give different levels of service to some subscribers than to others? If it's a private business, I believe they're allowed to charge fees as they see fit. Seems the pizza analogy is valid. Can you explain why you wouldn't agree?
JMO but unless HC is discriminating based on race, religion, sex, etc., I think they can charge whatever they can get. If one subscriber brings in more business, why shouldn't they reward that customer?
HC can give Woodie an official front office position and salary for all they want. Maybe they have. Nothing wrong about that. However it is misleading to say Woodie's HC rooms are free rooms for the benefits of traders, Woodie gets no benefit from it, and it's all about traders helping traders. That would be like eBay claiming they've set up a free site simply for the benefit of buyers and sellers hooking up, with no benefit to eBay.
Are you saying that Sport's chatroom is not free either?
Are you saying that if we pay for internet access that there is nothing free?
Are you saying if we bought a computer ...? paid an electric bill ...? etc., etc. etc.
What's your point?
Neither Sport nor Woodie is charging people to enter their rooms. That's about as close as you're gonna get to free unless you get them to buy you a computer, a house to keep it in and pay all the bills that go along with that.
