Whole lot of sanding going on here....

We have sand the remaining post and beams on the third floor before those drywaller come in and make it hard to get a clean edge.......Now according to the rules, you should never stand on the top step of a step ladder...RIGHT?

There are beams everywhere and instead of being able to lay the sander on the beam and just press a little and push......this requires you to hold the sander up and push.......so every 20 minutes they were told to take a 20 minute break....

This house requires a lot of subs working at the same time, and the entire driveway is parked full nearly everyday......

We bought respirators for everyone, but it's hard to get them to wear them.....

I tell them all to wear them, but since I don't speak Spanish and some don't speak English it's like telling one of Woodies gang they need to use price for trading....death ears.

You can see the difference between the sanded post (white color) and the beams that have not be finished yet.

So first I tell them to go find a taller step ladder, we have every ladder the Lowe's and Homey Depot sells...then I see them standing on the top step with his leg up to balance himself.

Down on the first floor heating elements have been installed, each run has a detector on it, in case you break the connection while spreding quick set over elements. Every room on the first floor and all the bathrooms will have this heating elements for a toasty warm floors......for your piggy toes.

The elements are covered very carefully with a thin coat of thin set to lock them in place......during this process we didn't have the alarm go off, so this winter we should be nice and warm running around in our socking feet.....:)
