Singer Sheryl Crow has said, “I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting.” While, her bog says it was joke, someone went dumpster diving in her trash and found this, in her handwriting:

The game of the year....for sure.

So here we are in of all places....CLEVELAND OHIO....the Rock and Roll Hall of Flame and we are ready for the final four Women's Basketball games.

As the team left the hotel they were quiet and doing their normal things, ipods, text messaging.....talking with each others and so on and very relaxed.

The locker room was also relaxed as the Lady Vols were ready for the biggest game of the year....The Tar Heels. In the past two game, after reaching a 20 point lead the Lady Vols were working on this game....fast breaks and man to man defense. The key word in all of this was on the claukboard.........JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF...BELIEVE IN YOUR TEAMMATES.

The UT fans were out in force as more then 6,000 of them had traveled to Cleveland to watch this game unfold...and we were LOUD to say the least.

By now, most of you know the sad story of University of North Carolina mascot Jason Ray, who died three days after being struck by an SUV in northern New Jersey. The UT cheerleaders wore hand bans printed with JR in honor of Jason along with a moment of silence before the game started.

The key to the game was the Shanna and Ivory matchup. Shanna spent the whole game in Ivory's face. Playing a tight man to man, with about 12 minutes into the game Shanna went to steal the ball from Ivory near half court. She was fouled and the two ended up in a pile near the sideline. As Shanna got up she backed away with her arms in the air, and you could read her lips.....OK, Let's just play ball, OK? Ivory on the other hand used her elbow to push Shanna away and was in her face. The refs called a timeout and went to both benches to talk with the coach. Ivory was ticked off...just like when you get into a trade and after losing 4 or 5 in a row you get bent out of shape, lose your focus and start doing things you never would any other time....IVORY was bent out of shape BIG TIME.

This was in my opinion the turning point in a close game. Ivory was out of focus, worried about fouling with a warming from the refs.....Shanna was then able to drive the ball into the paint......

More then one time the refs warned the UNC players about their conduct while the Lady Vols stayed ture and focused and didn't allow them to get inside "their" head.

During the free throws the coached talked to Shanna and made on how to keep Ivory off her game.

Half way thru the second half UNC went on a hot streak and the Lady Vols found themselves down by 12. But after a timeout, and a few words from the coach....about this is your time to step up and show the world just what the Lady Vols are all about. This is your time to enter into history.....take it...take it now.

The Lady Vols did fight their way back to even with 4 minutes to play...and now every mistake would matter, every move, every shot, everything was now important and the both teams knew it.

The girls had worked for a entire year, off season they came back to pratice, to study the game and it was all down to 3 minute when the lead shifted to the Lady Vols.

UNC was out of step, had again lost their edge when Ivory became a non-factor late in the game and Candice started to put on her show......

If you double or tripled up on Candice that left Alexis to do her thing...if you doubled up on Alexis, then Nikki was there to jam it.....

But in the end, the Lady Vols won.........the crowd was nuts, the players, coaches, assistants were jumping for joy. BUT, in the end this picture says alot to me.....you have to believe........do you believe in what you are doing?

Let's go on a cruise.....and get some sun..and drink

My daughter and her sidekick decided to take some time off and invite his brother along on a cruise for a week.....Now, one thing I see that is wrong with this picture is they wanted to get a tan with float around the Gulf of Mexico. So what is up with the shirt guys????

The best story from their adventure was when the boys went for a swim....but before they got in the water the lady in charge....HEY, no problem but there are fish that will be bigger then you guys. They will just swim by...no need to panic they wouldn't harm you.......easy to say right...

It's one thing to say that and understand it, but it's another when you are swimming and up comes a fish the size of my mother in law. Seem Jackson started to swim like he was going to lunch for Charlie the Tuna......

Oh yea, did I mention that they were drinking for 7 straight days...and nights....and afternoon....before dinner...after lunch......at least they had the right T-shirt on most of the time....:)

Day trading and finding the holy grail....

Are you looking to find a secret treasure in life, I mean, the holy grail? Well, it might just be closer then you think....could it be right in front of your eyes and you can't see it for looking. Well, if things go according to plan starting next week there will be more pics of the house as we finish it up.....more ideas on finding and testing some trading ideas...and more just plain ole busting on the real nuts out there.....

The day before the start of the final four.....and it's showtime

The Kodak All-American Women's Basketball was team was selected prior to the start of the Final Four matchup......Candice was selected from UT....that young lady in the first row on the left...is a problem. Ivory Latta is agressive.....she is fast....and she takes no prisioners.....with 16.2 points per game, the leader in assists, and shoots 85.5% free throws. But more then this, she can somehow throw a three pointer in at the exact perfect movement during the game.

Candice also won the2007 State Farm Wade Trophy Player of the Year 20 minutes after being named on the Kodak All-American team. She and Daedra Charles Furlow are the only two Lady Vols to be so named. It was the first time in the 30 year history that a sophomore has been named for this award.

"I am incredibly honored," said Parker. "I want to thank my coaches, teammates and family, because if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be standing here today. I am so blessed."

The fans were everywhere on Saturday following the team around from the hotel to the arena for a shoot around...one open and one closed session, the media event, the autograph sessions and so on.

So there they were standing on the floor....looking at the logo and smiling from ear to ear...a lot of things were overcome this season to get here.....a lose in the SEC Championship Game....a lose to the NC, a lose to Duke during regular season....but here they were.

And WOW what a great arena that Cleveland has, the shoot around for each session last one hour.......so let's warm up girls.....HEHE

Let's give thanks for the opportunity we have before us...and get fired up....

And let's just relax and enjoy this experience, let's do our best, but first and foremost let's remember we are a team and we are the VOLS!!!!!!!

HSBC is full of Morons............

So in August of 2003, while on one of those family...we are going to cut cost around here...."SO TURN OFF THOSE LIGHTS WHEN YOU LEAVE A ROOM ALREADY", kind a thing, one of my credit card statements arrived. "FIFTY NINE FRICKING DOLLARS FOR A YEAR MEMBERSHIP FEE", are you kidding me. Then I noticed that the statement arrived three days before the due date, so I called and was told no problem they had computer problems and would not charge any late fee. WELL, they did on the next statement so I called and talked to one of their empty suits and was told this time that nothing could be done since the payment was 4 days late....PERIOD. SO, I cut the card up and sent it back along with the monthly payment in the full amount. Somehow, the payment was fourteen cents to much......fourteen cents.

That was 4 years ago, give or that, and I thought somewhere along the line, someone would just close it out and the Orchard Bank would be up a whole 14 more cents in the their earnings. But, every month....month in and month out...year in and year out the statements just kept coming in like clock work. 14 cents.......14 cents, wonder what the cost of producing a monthly statement is? Doesn't matter I guess because they just kept coming. So I decided to send an email and tell them to use the money for the office coffee fund or maybe someone who was past due.
The email I got back was a classic big bank run by morans....and they would like me to consider doing business with them in the future.

So being the smart you know what, I sent the following reply.....now when the check comes I'll post it and then shread it. Thinking that this should really screw their bookkeeping with being out of balance waiting for that check to clear....month after month....year after year, so if you hear the HSBC has to restate their earning in a year or two....YOU KNOW WHY!!!!! ROTFL!!!!!

Elite 8 just another game by the looks of it...

As the team arrived back at the arena for the second session of the second round....which is known as the Elite 8 game the Lady Vols didn't seem to concerned about Ole Mississippi State.

The pep band was singing Rocky Top....like we haven't heard that before.....hehe

So what do you do when you are the shortest member ever of a basketball team and you are driving for the paint.....just keep on driven I guess.

This picture tells exactly how this game was going from the tip off.....how many Lady Vols players do you see....and how many Ole Miss.......EXACTLY!!!!!! In fact, do you even see any Ole Miss fans.......hummmmm

Candice had a free hand......didn't matter if it was going in using the right hand...or going in using the left hand...or going in with both hands.......Who ever we playing again....where are there?????

Smoky knew it........with less then 4 minutes until half time.....it was going to be a cake walk......

It wasn't long in the second half that the starter were taken out and the rest of the team was able to have some playing time.....This girl never to understand on thing......you ain't going to block a shot with your feet on the floor.......against this one anyways....

I don't know why.....but I love to see Candice fly........she is so graceful in the air......and you will never win a game if you allow someone to be this open all the time........like trading without a stop.

Elisabeth scored a two pointer.....and the sidelines went nuts......again these two teams, the Mens and Womens play like a team. Not individuals......

Oh yea, there they are again....with a trophy in one hand and smiles all around......

Each player get to cut a piece of the net and keep for their scrapbook.......and it's getting to be a full book around here.......so it's off to the final four in Cleveland....see ya there.

The Sweet16 loving Dayton, OH.......

The Lady Vols have their own group of cheerleaders, pep band, support staff, trainers and we started off having the pep rally at the hotel just as soon as the team arrived.

The band, on the other hand, stand at another hotel but were at the arena when the Lady Vols pulled up......playing Rocky Top.

As the players filed off the bus, you can see that each player is carrying a pair of sneakers, these sneakers are only worn from the locker room to the floor and back and are never worn beyond that.

The cheerleaders, band and a couple hundred fans were at the arena waiting, cheering and singing......YES....ROCKY TOP!!!!

Marist had made the tournement not by having a great season, but by winning their conference. They then went on to know off two other teams to reach the Sweet16. But, by this time, they had also had two key players injured and were out for the rest of the season. So if had to face the number one seed, number three in the country, the quote, unquote, best player to ever play womens basketball, yada yada yada what would you do with your two best players out.....?????

Candice was playing with the Dean, one of the assistant coaches, before the game.....he never stopped her from scoring during the warmups....:)

Once the game got under way, well Marist had their hands full, with only 3 players on the bench...UT went into a run and shoot and started to pull away at about a point a minute.

If you don't keep your eyes and are not focused on what is at hand....just like trading, well someone is going to steal that ball and go the other way......all day.

Even with a 20 point lead before half time, there was no joy from "The Coach", why.....because it wasn't about this game....it was getting ready for the final four

Smoky that travels with the Lady Vols also does the roll me down the floor routine with the male cheerleaders as the UT fans cheer him on....

The arena again was about 40% UT fans.....and they got really loud at half time as UT was able to obtain a 20 point lead.

So how does the shortest player to ever play basketball at UT make it past 3 of Marist players on the way to a lay up.......HOW!!!!!

And what do you do, when you see this coming at you........you are trying to shoot for two......and up in the air goes Candice with her hand high in the air.....well you just pray you don't get it back in your face I guess.....by the way, the older fellow in the lower right hand corner is the band director........I thought it was George Carin brother...........ROTFL.

SO they we are driving like a bat out of hell, (those who have ridden with me can...tell ya) and we see a traffic accident up ahead......as we slow down and merge into a single file......there was a lady from FLA on the side of the road with a flat tire, we could tell she had some medical issues........so I looked at the boss and she looked back at me, and we pull over and changed her tire. It's nice to help others .........and it easier if you just got to the Elite8 also.....ROTFL.
