The last set of stairs

Some days there are so many workers are the house that we have a traffic jam......and of course to add insult to injury.....

The stairway people showed up with two trailers full of stairs......now the fun will start.

A father and son team work together making stairs all over the east coast.....and they are all business as they begin to setup the hoist to bring the stairs up onto the second floor....

Once the stairs are moved up and set it's time to weld them in place......

One of the kids had to just test the stairs out....but carefully.

Cable and chain rain from above in order to lift and hold the stairs in place until the weld them.

Still amazes me that over a year ago they came and measured the octagon and floors and today they fit like a glove around the 52 inch tree....

Did someone say WELD.......anyone got a fire extinquisher because they guys don't fool around.......

Without saying a word, about half the guys stopped working and watched everytime they welded something....watching every spark.....and yes we had fire extinquisher on site and in hand.......but glad to report that we only lost a plastic tarp.
