Jack lines here....

People:
Trouble, oh we got trouble, Right here in River City!
With a capital "T" That rhymes with "P"
And that stands for Pool, That stands for pool.
We've surely got trouble! Right here in River City,
Right here! Gotta figger out a way
To keep the young ones moral after school!
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble...

Touble or no trouble, I love to shoot pool....eight balls is more then shaking and hoping for the right answers......nine ball for a buck.....or even straight pool.....name your game and pick a cue. Being that this is East Tennessee and moonshine heaven it would only be logical to have a Jack Daniels Billard Hall in the house somewhere.....and of course, it would only be logical also to have a mantle hand carved with some Jack stuff on it........


We bought the biggest walnut tree we could find, had it squared on two sides, de-barked, carved and sanded........


On each side a barrel was carved into the mantle.....


Then a "still" carved in the center with hemlocks on both sides.......


The amigos were busy putting two layers of backer boards around the fireplace...


It doesn't take to long for them to finish installing the boards...


A temp 2x6 was placed on the fireplace....nice and level so it would be easy to hang the mantle after everything was braced and all the backer board was attached....


The Genie Lift was a great investment as it is a life saver when we have to lift and set stuff.......so we are ready for the rockers to come and finish the fireplaces.
