Well, everyday I spend an hour or so just checking everything from head to toe. Each post, beam or arch is pinned and pegged, so I am checking to make sure the dowels are used correctly to plug the holes....have it''s only 24 feet up the scaffolding.....rotfl.

Finally, the last purlongs in swinging it's way in place. What a great sight this way. A line is attached to one end so the guys can swing it into place without having to lean out of the edge...

Ever so gently it is lowered into place, the crane operator can not see these guys so there are two other people relaying the signals......."Cable up, boom down", is not uncommon to hear during the day.....

Talk about being at on top of the world, here they are tack nailing the ridge purlong in place until they can screw in the olylog screws.

One of my jobs is to make sure the place stays clean so more materials can be moved close to the house, this has turned into a full time job and over 22 people are working there brains out before it gets to cold.....

That is the great thing about having a crane on site all most all the time, we can move materials every fast as they are needed.....here OSB is being lifted into the house.

The woodcraver continue to hue support posts and beams on the third level, they work for 15 minutes and then take a break of 15 minutes and then they work for 15 minutes and so on.....but try and keep a chain saw in the air for 15 minutes once.

The beams in the formal dining room are being cleaned as you can on the left, they use a small disc sander and go back and forward until it is cleaned. This way they do not destroy the natural look of the logs....

Just as soon as the woodcraver were done, we stained the logs and gave them 3 coats of varish ASAP before they had any water damage. A black sheet of plastic was laid over the top to prevent water coming down from the fourth floor....and so it goes....
