Tennessee Tops No. 2 Penn State For Biggest Win Earned By A Lady Vol Squad
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -­ The 15th-seeded and 17th-ranked University of Tennessee volleyball team (24-8) advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship match for the first time in school history on the strength of a dramatic 30-27, 14-30, 30-27, 33-31 win on the home court of No. 2 Penn State (31-3). The win in front of an intense, loud crowd of 2,530 also marks UT's first one ever over a team ranked among the top three in the country.

The 2005 campaign saw Tennessee advance to the Regional Semifinals for the fifth time in school history (1982, 1983, 1984 and 2004), but this team became the first Rocky Top squad to advance to the next level.


PSU was good, they were number 2 in the nation and my brother who went there was all ready for them to spank the Vols so he could have some fun with me. My oldest daughter also went to PSU and was ready with her blue and white shakers.


Oh yea, they set up the ball nicely, BUT........


In your face girl friend was the answer back......ROTFL.......after beating the crap out of PSU.......oh oh now I did it. I mean since they were lucky to get past PSU they were off to the NCAA Final 4, the first time in the history of the school. Tonight however, while we were watching the UT lady basketball team beat up on LA Tech, it was announced that the girls had lost.......BUT WHAT a great run they had....GO VOLS!!!!!!
The important thing was that "they" beat the pants off the Nitty Kitty........can we have a family group hug.
