Today, was no different then any other day, except it appears that the tide is shifting again. Over the weekend, BobCathy decided to not be a moderator in that room.
There is a lot of things that could be said here, we could take the low road and bust on Cathy for days, like the Big Cheese did with Gio and the fudge comment. We could take the high road, as Cathy herself likes to do. For those of us who have been in the thick of it with the CCI club, doing, sharing, working to help others in any way we can have all had that sinking feeling when we also made this decision.... I am sure.
Like a good longtime friend saying goodbye, wishing it wouldn't be this way....but the reality of life brings us to the point...where we have to decide, where we stand at the fork in the road.
Surely the sweet voice of Cathy will be missed and if JeanYus follows so will he......but the choices have been made. Those people before you working endlessly, writing code, setting up workshops, doing presentations, but in the end........Well, PEACE Sweetheart....can we have a group hug?

It was inevitable, so no big surprise. Cathy's not a dumb person by any means. I mean she's floated around with every guru in town, but that doesn't make her hapless or stupid. She never stick with them when it turned out they weren't the real deal, and continuing through and past the roadblocks of failure is the way to eventually find true success. She's to be commended for all her selfless help on behalf of the other people in Woodie's room. I just hope now Woodie doesn't backstab her and pull out of the FLA TAL she's been helping to organize the way he did to Dr Bob at the NJ TAL.
Well, if trading is just a hobby, people still need some job to pay the bills ... besides hobbies do cost some money to indulge in LOL.

Cathy never claimed to be able to support her lifestyle by trading for a living. I think it was clear though that she gave off the "vibe" that she was still just learning the ropes.
To be fair, W never has traded for a living either. It's his retirement hobby. I have no idea how successful he has been in his endeavors because he has never published any historical brokerage transaction sheets.
The biggest joke on everyone would be if it turned out that he made more by selling covered calls over the years than trading the CCI with his rigid, myopic ways.
If Cathy cant make it trading for a living, what sheer outright Gaul allowing her to TEACH newbies. Shame on you Cathy, and triple shame on you Woodie.
I've never even heard Cathy moderate, but I'm going to assume that what she does is share the information and experience she has had as a trader. These chat rooms shouldn't be looked upon as a place of learning. You're there with no tuition. If you want someone to teach you to trade, hire a teacher. These people are moderators - there to preside over the room to keep it under control. If you pick up a few tips along the way - great. You pay for what you get, and it takes a lot of nerve to think that Cathy or any other moderator, or Sport, or anyone else owes you anything you haven't paid for.
Guess we just heard from Bob, cant keep a good women in the kitchen any longer.
Maybe woodie must tie up Gio in the kitchen too...
There's a mistaken belief that Woodie's current crop of moderators are there to "teach newbies." They aren't. All the unbanished Woodie mods I've heard: Cathy, Biggs, Rover, Gio, Paul, Samson, etc haven't taught me a thing. They're just like everyone else, looking for patterns, unsure about things in the present, but can see them 20/20 in hindsight. Nobody calls setups in realtime or entries or exits. I guess that's because Woodie claims it's all "against the law."
I do feel for these mods though. Obviously, they're all giving of their own time. They are not in a position to hold themselves out as gurus, and it's apparent quickly that none of them are. They put up their Woodie charts. All of them with price bars showing, yet are forced to only talk about things that Woodie (and the law) allows, which doesn't amount to much.
Anon 2:31 and other various times. You have mastered the art of typing or talking and saying nothing. Give yourself a rest as you seem to be talking out of both sides of your arse at once. Some may call that farting. If they are not there to teach, what are they there to do. Sell us charthing packages, expensive TAL room fees, fudge, or trading tutors and their vitamins.

So Cathy has been a showing everyone how to trade, but can't and now her husband has cut her off. Welcome to Walmart, and watch out for falling prices. Oh, geeez, Cathy never used prices to trade. Things do come full circle.

The room owner engages (for free) and promotes all those moderators who feel right up in cloud 9 when they moderate (operate? LOL).
Owner gets the kickbacks ....... moderators get the ego-boosts and the kick out of the whole thing until they get the ultimate mother-of-all-kicks and land outside the rooms.

hey cathy, maybe woodie will let you set up a regis booth at the florida tal. he might oblige if you give him a cut (meaning a cut in your commission, not a haircut).
Hi Cathy, I have'nt been to WCCI room in ages although I did enjoy your moderating while I was there. You seem to be a genuinely nice person and I wish you the very best in all your future endeavors. Btw, all I use now is candlestick price, volume and the patterns they make along with trendlines.
