Some days you are the cat...some days the mouse

My cat loves to trade....OK....maybe he just likes to watch the mouse run around the screens but today was crap......the spread was crap, the internals were crap, fib levels were worthless as the market went to sleep with the last day of the month.
SO Brutus waited........paws crossed and he waited......

I was bored and everytime I went to read an email, I catch him reading them also or was he looking for a trade setup.......????

Then around 11:30 he decided to watch TV and started working the remote control....by noon time I was out of the office on my way for lunch, Brutus decided to take a nap on the chair....both good choices.

Because some days you are the CAT, so days you are the MOUSE, but no one wants to be a piece of CHEESE.....

Whole lot of sanding going on here....

We have sand the remaining post and beams on the third floor before those drywaller come in and make it hard to get a clean edge.......Now according to the rules, you should never stand on the top step of a step ladder...RIGHT?

There are beams everywhere and instead of being able to lay the sander on the beam and just press a little and push......this requires you to hold the sander up and push.......so every 20 minutes they were told to take a 20 minute break....

This house requires a lot of subs working at the same time, and the entire driveway is parked full nearly everyday......

We bought respirators for everyone, but it's hard to get them to wear them.....

I tell them all to wear them, but since I don't speak Spanish and some don't speak English it's like telling one of Woodies gang they need to use price for trading....death ears.

You can see the difference between the sanded post (white color) and the beams that have not be finished yet.

So first I tell them to go find a taller step ladder, we have every ladder the Lowe's and Homey Depot sells...then I see them standing on the top step with his leg up to balance himself.

Down on the first floor heating elements have been installed, each run has a detector on it, in case you break the connection while spreding quick set over elements. Every room on the first floor and all the bathrooms will have this heating elements for a toasty warm floors......for your piggy toes.

The elements are covered very carefully with a thin coat of thin set to lock them in place......during this process we didn't have the alarm go off, so this winter we should be nice and warm running around in our socking feet.....:)

Happy Birthday honey...and many smores

Happy Birthday Honey, and many smores!!!!

Daytrading the S&P Futures _ PREFACE

Everyone wants to be at the top of their game, they want to make a million buck and right now....can't wait for details, no time to study, who gives a rats' back behind about money management........just tell me when to go long and tell me when to get out and do it for FREE or you are a horse's behind.

Over the next several weeks I am going to try and provide a clear path for those who are looking for answer to how to win at this game. Everyone has heard at some point that 90% of the people who try trading......QUIT! No one ever said that 90% of the people lose every cent they have, but some do of course. Some lose only part of their nest egg before they give up and you have a group of anaylst that really don't trade, they just like the idea of trading.

It has also been said that of the 10% left, 90% of them really ever make a good living....up a little...down a little...up a little....down a little. But there is
that dream of being in the top 10% of the 10%. Otherwise, you are like the tree in the picture, ones with no clue, ones with some kind of a clue, ones with a trading plan and then there is the ones with a clue and a trading plan.

For me, a trading plan is made up of several parts.....or ideas if you like. Over the next couple of weeks, I will try to share there ideas with you. But before we get to that part, lets talk about your feelings, ego and emotions.

The ideas have serviced me well, very well and having said that it will require you to clear your head and maybe think from a different angle. Also, I am sharing this because of people like Matrix, Cook, Schaffer, Wood and the rest of the blood sucking morans out there....that only have one goal, to take your money one way or the other. The information is FREE and you should check it out before risking a dime in the market. Now if you ain't smart enough to understand that FACT, then who gives a crap about your outcome. A couple of years ago, I worked at helping some people one on one, but in reality, as soon as I turned my back they had loaded in the latest crap from some "Johhny come lately Guru" and actually spent time explaining it to me. But you guessed it, they lost money and I got the crap. But that is OK!!!!. Over the past couple years I have shared some ideas and there have been some success stories.

So let's get started........and stay tuned

A love story

This 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting. When she went before the judge in Cincinnati he asked her, "What did you steal?" She replied, "A can of peaches."

The judge then asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches and she replied that she was hungry. The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can. She replied 6.

The judge then said, "I will then give you 6 days in jail."

Before the judge could actually pronounce the punishment, the woman's husband spoke up and asked the judge if he could say something. The judge said, "What is it?"

The husband said, "She also stole a can of peas."

5 truckloads of insulation later

We are finally gettin to the end of the insulation......a total of 14 pallets of this pretty pink itchy stuff....they pack them in bails and each pallets has three bails, inside the bails there are 8 packs.

This has been going on for a couple weeks now as they cut each piece one at a time so there isn't any gaps or openings.

Two guys are cutting and handing them up and two guys are calling out numbers and measurements amoung other things......and I have bought enough 3/8' staples for the slap gun to reach 1.37 miles.......dang!!

The ceiling in the great room is about 32 feet up and of course he is standing on the top step.....and still a little short, anyone seen the scaffolding???

The paper is pulled off any odd and end pieces and shoved into the window jams. One of my jobs is after each day is to go around and take a look to make sure things are done correctly. This way we find problems, before they are covered up or toooooo far gone to go back and fix. The #442 RH in the doorway stands for Door Number 442 and it's a right handed door. Hoping to cut down on any mistakes there also since the interior doors are all being made special order from a factory north of Denver.

The great room window system has it's own special problem because the framework was made from I-beams welded together. We pumped spray insulation in before the window went in, now we are going back my using sheets of form to fill out any area that need it.

The master bedroom is the last area to be insulated. All we need now is to finish the ceiling with R-30.

Ya got to love a 2 year old, as Drake wants to help clean up the joint. Every weekend we go around cleaning and moving material for the next week.....a clean workspace is a happy workspace.....:)

The fish tank is in place and the bar area is coming together nicely....more on that later......right now it's clean...clean .....clean....and pick that up, OK

Just another day in HELL......

DO NOT FEED,
Avoid eye contact,
Do not provoke,
No flash photography,
No French reporters.

It doesn't matter what your views are of the war and why we are there......but once Oliver North stated before a Senate hearing, "Sometimes, there are more important things then peace". Every day, they take the fight to "them" instead of "them" bringing the fight to your town. Somedays are easy, somedays are not, but they keep pressing the fight........so you can sleep

Just another wedding....

I guess if you ain't from around here.....well you'll never get it. This is the south....Nascar country.....beer bellies.....fast car....and pretty women with an accent...everything is bar-b-gued and the bible belt. I choose to live here, because these are my people....just good ole folks that care about their neighbors, their family and about God. The best man showed up ready for the wedding......

Now if you are going to get married, "Junior Style" well the back of a trailer only seems proper, now don't it? When the folks around here go to the races, it's more then just a mini van packed with kids......they drag trailers along.

And after the wedding is over, the bride and her man drive off, to have a little fun....if you know what I mean???? Like Waylon Jennings sung about the Good Ol' Boys, never meanin no harm, just good ol' boys, wouldn't change if they could.......
and that is what I like about the Smoky's.

Trimmin Time....

I thought the price of copper was bad at $407.00 a 1,000 foot roll until this stuff showed up. Clear pine in both 5/4 and 4/4 in random length. But I couldn't find anyone to make the molding the exact way I wanted it, so I bought a shaper, some bits and a couple thousand feet of material.

As the drywaller are getting ready to start work on the 4th floor, we are beginning the process of trimming out windows, doors and floors. These wall have all been faux finished. The process requires the walls to be painted a total of 4 times in order to layer the colors on correctly.

Even while they are working on the first floor trimming the final part of the framing is also being hammered out as we are now picking up speed to finish the house. All the dining and kitchen entrances will have an arc over them, this arc is part of the fibonacci work that I live and die by everyday in trading.........

We made sure that the sides were built out enough in case I decided to stone case the walls....jury still out on that one.

For those of you that email me about certain design ideas, I know the arc above the servant entrance is to high as we moved this wall three times. But, as we finish up building there will be an rod iron piece build above the actual entry.......

The ceiling are 12 feet high, so in the kitchen we are dropping the outside edge around the kitchen to form shelf for backlighting. The original ceiling will become a galaxy ceiling with over 3,000 optical fibers to provide a starry sky.......twinkle, twinkle, little star, I wonder what size blub you are......

Frist we decided to put a window with shutters that opened into the great room, then we decided to put a set of (God forgive me) French doors by taking out the bottom framing....then we decided to arc the top of the doors and build a balcony. Every day it ever a dull moment as we create something beyond any limits.........

On the road again

We have been in Vegas at the World Furniture Expo and Design Show looking at all the new toys out there this year....and man oh man is it hot out here......

REBA...REBA.....those big blue eyes......that red hair....REBA....REBA.....

Every night a different show....a different buffet......the show at the Mirage called the "Love" set to Beatles music was a yawner........but the music was great.
Tomorrow morning it's back to reality and back to trading full time again.

S&P Daytradingand you think

So you get up in the morning, shave, wash your beautiful face, brush your jaws, drink 9 cups of coffee and sit down to look at what is going on this morning......
Are you sure......what you see....is really what you see....or is your mind going to be playing games with you today????

Having problems making money daytrading?
Well drink some more coffee, relax and let us work thru this process over the next couple of weeks....maybe by Labor Day you won't have to any more.....

Daytrading the S&P500 futures and having an edge

For years now I have used symmetry to find a measured pullback in the direction of the tradable trend....once symmetry is determined it just a matter of using your toys to find a safe entry for the trade. Most people work on the indicator first or even worse......ONLY work with a indicator.

I have been asked in the blog if anyone can make money at this business and the short answer is "YES". But having said that, you have to have a trading plan that is based on a money management plan.....most don't.

Now if you are watching the secret sauce along with symmetry...then you know you just need a measured pullback....by using either a stoch or the CCI (50/6) you can find this measured pullback.

Then you use the idea of allowing the price....YES I SAID PRICE to take out the high of the setup bar without taking out the low to drag you into the trade......the rest is up to you to manage the trade.....

Again most traders can't stand winners and click back out as soon as they see a profit instead of using defined rules to trail a stop. But the same trader can hold onto a loser until hell freezes over..........Wonder WHY??????

Let's talk about wiring.......

Sometimes your kids just need a timeout......and Booomer got in trouble, you can see that Scooter is hiding and didn't like what she heard either.....

The electricians are running wire like it's 17 cents a foot....yes I remember the good old days and just glad there isn't any inflation to deal with....

And outlets.....but these are a little different in nature, there are really X-10 outlets that will be controled by a computer.

The place that you get killed with is the home runs.....when the circuit leaves the room and goes back to a breaker box.......110 feet away.

Can lights come in about 200 different forms....these are low voltage directional.....in plain English that means it costs 8 times what you pay at Home Depot for those Halo ones.....

The biggest problems that the electricians have is coming in behind the A/C guys that have used hard piping and no flex......then the plumbers had already ran his drain pipes and water lines....yada yada yada. So the electrician have to work around all their noise........we have only had to move a couple items...so FURR.

While wiring the inside of the house, they have to think about all the outside lighting and we can light up East Tennessee after this project is finished....ROTFL.

In addition to the wiring for lights, they also ran speaker wiring all over the place.......and remember if it's toooooo loud, you're to old!! The red wire is part of the ADT wiring for the house....

Some people have asked about talking about problems in building, well the list is endless at times, but just normal stuff....like we install a raised floor in the nanny flat, we raised it just 5 inches but the problem was the outlets were now in the middle of the counter tops.....go figure.

So they cut out the drywall...that had been faux finished....I cried. But all is well now....after those drywallers patched it back up.....drywallers....where are they anyways.....
