With the octagon almost done, it was time to put ollies in everywhere to tighten it up......you can see the leveling strings all over the place....


Trim band goes on next as they are getting ready to sheet the octagon....


Talk about waste, an octagon is not the best place to try and save on plywood that comes in 4 by 8 sheets.......


But by the weekend, the octagon was ready for the roofers, which have already started on the main part of the house roof...


OK......IT'S ROOFIN TIME IN TENNESSEEeeeeeeeee....as the roofer begin to attach the copper flashing and the starter strips....


Roofers are a different breed......there is no way most of us would ever do this for a living....but then I know some traders that don't use stops.......so maybe


Because of the nature of the mountains, there will be a 750KW generator installed for a backup system to our electric. The generator is power by propane and kicks on once a week for 30 minutes to keep it ready to go when the time is needed.....so the gas guys are back for the two hundredth time.


Is there an elevator in this house? You got it, and next week they are coming to install the system and the first of April the elevator itself will be onsite.....

BASKETBALL TIME IN Arkansas

We left for Little Rock on Wednesday for the SEC lady's basketball tournament for a weekend of hoops..........Dinner with Pat and team, pep rallies, luncheons and more pep rallies and some good ole fashion screaminnnnnnnnn.


The girls had blown two other teams out of the tournaments on Friday and Saturday it was Sunday evening at 5:45 when they ran out into the Alltel Arena to play for all the marbles....


At 6:05 it started with the tipoff......Candice against the Flowers.....UT got the ball and went for a quickie two.......GO VOLS....


The girls were all over the LSU girls, working to get the ball back as the score moved on both sides of zero.......up 5....down 3.... up 6....down 2......on and on it went....


During the second game of the tournament, Coach Summit told Sidney she was a none factor in the game......she wasn't doing anything to win the game and on and on that went.....well when they blew the whistle for the second half, Sid never looked back and scored 3 like scalping ticks at zero......and rebounding the ball all over the place......with 14 seconds left in the game and one point behind, Candice laid it up and they held on to win the game.......I might be able to talk again around Friday...


After the game, the team came up in the UT section and gave everyong high fives and hugs........a special moment for the fans that drove or flew to the games....there were three sections full of UT fans....the larger group.


With the trophy in hand, the seniors were going nuts with two back to back SEC championships......


The players and cheerleaders are a tight group at the school.....Lindsay Moss is still wearing a nose guard from the game with Bama.......but what a great time....


Pat gets to cut the last string down, but the assistant coaches and all the players each got their turn to cut a sting also.......first the freshmen right to the seniors......and all this time we sang ROCKY TOP......ROCKY TOP.....you will always be, home sweet home to me.......and more of... It's great to be a Tennessee Vols....it's great to be a Tennessee Vols..........

Octagon keeps on truckin

24 pieces of rafters are required to assembly the roof system over the octagon. And the crane is just a pure life saver.


So they cut the angle on the end and notch for the wall, the guys on the roof relax........but no sleeping up here.


Ok, it's show time......move that boom over to the left....more..... more......steady......but to the left.


OK...OK cable down.....steady.....


CABLE DOWN......as he turns his thumb down.......but the wind picked up and everyone gets nervmouse.....


Finally, it's down...now they just have to lift it up and ollie it into place....


It looks cool.....with the main pieces in place.....now the smaller one need to attached and we are ready to sheet this puppy.....

TAZ vs. The Ideal Setup.....which one??????

Today, as usual you have conflict between setups......the ideal setup, the "50 CCI ZLR" with the secret sauce was setting up a short just after 10:00am. Meanwhile, the ticks had been below zero, came up to the 400 area and then came back to form a TAZ (ticks at zero) for a long setup. Which one to take is the question.


So you had a loser there unles you are using a wider stop then the rest of us and maybe still paper trading, but a batman formed...remember the batman it's one of the 23 CCI official setups and again if you used just the indicator you were short yet again........


In real live trading, you can't get it back by pretending it never happened......"Oh look did you get that Shamu"....."WOW, that was a great trade". Or, did everyone get that inverted ghost, it was worth 6 points. If you use price to confirm your setups, you would have taken the TAZ like we did in the TraderHaven chat room on relay7 in hotcomm.com and been very happy. There were 4 ZLR setups to short this morning......because the CCI has to be above by 6 bars before the trend changes......officially. Now who likes to short the market during a rally......no one I know......but hey, they don't need no stinking 50 and they don't need no stinking prices and they don't need nothing else that stinks....or anybody else and that is just fine with the traders in all the other chat rooms it appears.....

Woodies CCI Club showing it's colors again.......

I don't know how many people sent me this post from the PFG support chat room that happened yesterday, but it was quite a few. It seems that a trader who has an account with PFG was asking for tech support for their TradeMaven product when Woodie said, "We don't need no stinking 50". Of course, we all know that was a direct insult to the 100 plus traders in the TradeHaven chat room on relay7 in hotcomm.com who use the CCI set to a length of 50.

The trader asked for "Please, unbiased support here", but they needed help from their broker. THEIR BROKER....not some chat room operator...but THEIR BROKER using THEIR product.

Tech support worked thru the problem, but Woodie would not let it go and kept up the yada yada yada against the trader. "I'm not bias", he said. "Great, we front run it", he continued. "So tnks for helping move it our way", he came back with.

Traders in several chat rooms became to talk about this, because they couldn't understand what right Woodie had to interfere with a trader trying to get tech support from his broker. If you did this in his chat room, you would be out of there in a heart beat. If you did this in another chat room, he would be on the phone to anyone that would listen crying foul.......

If I used PFG, I would be on the phone screamin at my broker as to what the hell is going on and why is this clown in your support room downgrading your clients...This is a business and real money is on the line and when a trader has some problems the last they need is someone like this idiot interfering.....simple as that.

But I told you for the last year and a half what he is realy like, just glad he is still at it and people are starting to wake up to reality.

While we were building retaining wall...they were working.....

The plans called for us to build a roof over the octagon on the east, but under the wing roof system. I decided long ago that was just plain stupid and wanted the roof to be above the wing roof. In order to do this we added another 9 feet to the octagon and ended up having another floor......now how cool is that.


Each wall was built on the floor and then setup in place to keep things safe......


Each panel was slid into place and it wasn't long before we had a new room.....


Time to add more scaffolding up here...we are 10 sections high....that is 65 feet to the bottom of the fifth floor.....but what a view.


Each day after I am done trading and had some lunch, it's off to the job site to make sure things are done the way I want them.....so that means.....you got it.....hang on baby it windy up here......ROTFL.


So they started to set the rafters for the octagon and the white stuff is actually snow from the last storm. You can also see snow cap mountains off in the distance......


Each piece is sent up, measured in place, sent back down so it can be notched and the angle cut on the ends.....then back up it goes....


Hand signals are the only way they can talk back and forth because of the noise from tools and the wind blowing in your ears at times......


Larry, Daryl and Daryl, the roofers, started working on their part of this project.....first thing was to use copper in the valleys and trim ends......then an ice guard after attaching a product that seals itself instead of that ugly tar paper.......what was when I learned that the tar paper all 43 rolls would be removed and thrown away.........now that was like trading without a stop being short and they found Bin Laden.........

The secret sauce was only green and only got greener.....and CB had a ton of setups today to the long side......this is just a classic setup in her room every day.....nothing special......nothing out of the normal...just doing business.

CB calls it "symmetry" and on a trend day it's just a money machine....you can study up on this idea at http://www.syncmt.com and CB would be more then glad to give you a trial so you could join in on the fun......

So we were looking for a trade to the long side at 741.80, now you just need a setup and a trigger.....how simple is that?


So all I do, and this does require some work on my part.....is draw in the lines on my chart and see what I can find......well first I see that the stoch is oversold....I like that...


So I have a setup on the 3m....let's look at the 70t chart.....oh yea there is a setup there also (point "R")......how I am excited. So I take a peek over to the internals chart and low and behold there is a TAZ........So I yawned and took the other side of the short sellers....and laughed........

Why did I laugh you think, because I have an ego? Because I am a blow hard? Because I am.........well guess again? You see CB had a target up there at 744.20......yea yea go to your chart and look at the high for the day.....

We had some fun today in the TradersHaven chat room on relay7 in hotcomm.com busting on each other about targets and other stuff.....you should come and join us some day because we do need each other....we just don't need anybody controlling us......right BobbyCathy?

Close call on that rolling rock

We were building a retaining wall out of river rock uses the crane and everything was going along nicely.....


As we started to lay the second of three rows, Micheal was on this way over to steady the rock when it slipped out of the harness...


It all unfoleded in slow motion as the rock fell on the ground and then started to roll down the mountain....on it's way it rolled over plants and over the next retaining wall below us.....and came to rest.


So we cable up and boom down to see if it could reach the rock...it could so thru the trees the hook went to get the rock...


The rock ended up about 4 inches into the ground so they had to dig in order to get the harness under it...


Half hour later they were still working on getting the harness around the rock.....but we never give up.....never.


Once the strap is in place they took a hammer and beat the strap in tight this time.....and I didn't need to say either in English or Spanish to clear the area.....


So back to the second row we go......you really can't see on the picture but the strap is placed so when the rock is set the strap is in the front and makes it easy to remove the it without having it roll down the hill.....


This rock only took about an hour to set instead 10 minutes and we had a very close call when it broke loose about 2 feet from Michael.....


This was the last rock for this retaining wall and the next to last thing the crane did before returning to rental center....


Junior is about to take a ride up over the house and into the woods to get a walkboard that blew off the scaffolding during a storm a few weeks back.....yes this is DennisWorld......and we have a sky ride...
