Working my tail off......

There I was sitting at my desk, working away when the phone rang....one ring a dingy...two ring a dingy..."HELLO". The caller wanted to know if I would be interested and going along to a football camp, meet Bobby and Terry Bowden and have dinner along the way. The best little German restaruant with all the good ole fashion dishes and apple cobbler for dessert, and I thought that doesn't sound to bad. As a van load of guys rode across the countryside and talk about football filled the air I was thinking to myself....Man did I make a mistake. After all, I love watching football, the cheerleaders, band and the interaction with the fans. But talk about how in 1995 while running for the end zone in the championship game against Central Florida was about as boring as it could get.

That best little German restaruant was OK, but I wouldn't have drove 2.5 hours to just eat a thrawed out apple cobbler with a two day old cup of half warm coffee. So, by the time, we arrived at the YMCA Youth Camp my attitude on the outside was smiles but inside I was thinking ........"So you had to answer the phone".

We made our way to assembly hall after touring the grounds and watching inner city teenage boys taking snaps and all that good stuff. The assembly hall sat about 500-600 and was built back in the late 1930s. Wooden stiff back chairs, no AC and no breeze, while on the stage, in the front, there was a group of kids getting ready to play some music with an overhead behind them. Kids were walking in groups with flags that had numbers on them......14....53......28 and so on. It wasn't long before the music started and OF COURSE, it was a form of RAP. I sat there thinking..OK....this has gone from crap to how can I get the (@!#$^)!)* out of here.

The assembly hall was three quarters full when these kids started to form a train in asiles and began moving around the hall.....singing to the RAP. I never, in my life, heard Jesus Loves Me to RAP.....or What A Friend I have in Jesus, but I did that night. Inner city teenagers, black, brown, white, there were all there singing, waving their hands in the air, hugging and I even saw some with tears in their eyes. The tone began to shift, there was something in the air, I could feel it, sense it and it began to over take me. YA YA, I was inducted in the Tom Laundry Society of the FCA..but was this was bigger then anything I have ever seen in 57 years...WAY BIGGER.

Life just hasn't been the same since, within a couple of weeks, I had people I hardly knew calling me and talking about FCA and their ideas. Some even said, "I was told to call you for help". Right now, my life has been transformed and continues every day......I'm not sure where I am going, BUT I am going.....to where were it leads me.

I promised over the last year to have a workshop, a couple of days of talking about money managment ideas and play the marble game, talk about how to overcome the fear of pulling the trigger when you know you should, chasing trades, how to do a back study test and how that back study fits into a money management strategy. When you take a trade, have a small profit and close it out but will let you loser runs. The workshop would be about the between the ears stuff more then what is the perfect setup. Do you have a perfect setup? But can't make a fricking dime!!!! WHY????
I also said in the last update that this workshop wouldn't be for FRRRREEEEeeeeeeee,
and it wouldn't either. SO, here is the deal!!!

Those of you who know me, know that I have over the past 5 years or so....traveled around the country speaking about money management and playing that marble game. Trading live in NYC, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando and Denver. That everytime I have done this the proceeds went to some charity. Once I visited the Denver Trading Group and Ron wanted to pay for my expenses, I did tell him exactly what it cost me to fly out and spend time with a great group of people, but advised him to send the funds (570 bucks) to MAW. Ron sent the funds, and I even told him to make it in honor of the CCI Club instead of me personally. SO for those who think I am selling out and becoming the one thing I hate......Blood sucking market gurus.....well I'm not.

The first day is FREEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee, and after the first day, when you come back for the other 3-4 days, there will be someone from 3 different non-profit org waiting for you that second morning and while you eat some KKD donuts you can make a check out to them. Boys and Girls Club, ASPCA, Rescue Mission for Women or someone else, if you don't write a check.....WELL, security can show you the highway. I'll even provide the coffee and dounuts, lunch including banana puddin and for 4-5 days we will talk about how to overcome problems that you are having....where to go to fix them.....

I will be doing things the way I actually do them....so you will be looking over my shoulders so to speak....you will not be able to open your laptops doing this educationall workshop because there ain't no reason to come and compare your stuff with mine....instead come and see if there is a way you can reach the next level. WHY, would I allow people to come...simple....after it's over, I expect you to become a good STEWARDS.
