First bar over and out......YAWN

So we managed our trade based on the first bar trade setup and it's rules.....using time and price levels we knew when to manage the trade...until the stops was hit and we are done for the day.....one trade...one winner.....time to go to the second job and will post more pics of the house since we got a new scanner last night.....ROTFL

Timing and Price.......ok back to the drawing board

The timing is a little off, but this is based on "other stuff" but so far we have hit the target to the tick.........WOOHOO.....not to bad for 76 minutes of hard work.
Using the high of the last 3m bar plus a tick as a stop now......we had a new $prem low of the day....showing the floor pressed it.....

Time and Price....here we come.....on down baby

Here we go......drop and give me some moneyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!

First bar trade.....using time and price.....

As the market works thru this planetary support and makes a new low.....we have adjusted our stop based of the projection that time and price will come together at 10:36 and 714.10......so let's see.

Frist bar doing fine.....day #3

The first and third bar setup for a trade got us short and as we come down into our resistance.....we manage the trade looking for a drop into our target target of 741.10. Using a .618 retracement as a trailing stop....so let's see.

Stop currently at 718.even waiting for a new low to manage the trade.....

WOW what a trend day this turned out to be.

I came back after a nice dinner and sat down to look at what the market did today....
ISRG up 4.07
EBAY up 2.51
PENN down .14
NTAP up .83
and the dang ER rocked another 44 ticks higher from my target......dang I said as I banged my head on desk.......what a nice trend day, it just kept going and going.

Someone asked about the ticks, well check out 11:11am and 13:28 for a buy.....except for a -400 pullback it was a longer all day......long long and stay long babe and let the rest of the world be your cheese.....ROTFL

Purpose is what gives life a meaning!!!!

We seems to be on everyone "A" list and it also seems every week we are at one of those rubber chicken dinners listening to someone set us up for a donation. Tuesday night it was the Smoky Mountain Boys and Girls Club awards dinner and the induction of their new board members and president yada yada yada.

The region director was there also, Chet Nichols talked about when he was 6 and had just started the first grade when his parents dropped him off at the club. It wasn't long before he was on the basketball team and if you ever coached a bunch of 6 year olds.....well it's a challenge to say the least.

The coach wanted them to remember just one thing, when you have the ball and you are open....take the shot. Well, long story short.....he got the ball, he was open and he took the shot, but it was in the other teams basket. As the few parents and friends laughed, and the kids stared, the coach called a time out. He said, Wasn't it great what Chet did....he was open, he had the ball and he took the shot. Instead of reaming the little one out, he gave him support which is what the club is all about, building for the future.

46 years later, that little fellow is now the region director of the club and was talking about "PURPOSE". This is the 100th year of the club, which was started by 3 housewives in New England, just average people who had purpose.

But we hear stories all the time about how great this organization is and on and on, why it is important that we help them out in some way and up to this point it was just a normal evening. Then they started to give out the Volunteer of the Year awards and we have 5 chapters in Sevier county, so there were going to be 5 awards.
a basketball coach, an art teacher, a minister, a cook and then Liz...........

When Liz took the mic, she started to cry and I mean cry, it took her about 3-4 minutes to start her speech. She started by saying that she has never told anyone in the club about this before......between the tears she went on to say that her dad was an acholic and had commited suicide, her mom took off and Liz and two sisters were all alone when they came into The Boys and Girls Club because there was food and it was a warm place to stay. She was 17 and her sisters were 15 and 13 at the time.

The reason she was crying was because to her, the club was more then a place to go after school, she considered the club her only family. She talked about how things could have gone badly for her and her sisters if it wasn't for the people at the club. When they moved to Sevier County she again connected with the local chapter and because she now was over 18 she became a volunteer along with her oldest sister so they could all hang out with her youngest sister at the club. Well one thing lead to another and this year she was the volunteer of the year.

I have been to a lot of these events, but ever one like this one. 250 people were just speechless, I guess it is one thing to read an email, or watch a video, read a book.....but it's something else to just be there and see it unfold before your eyes, talk about emotions.......

What purpose do you have in your life, was the main theme for the evening, which hits very close to home. People either love me or hate me because I am, for some reason, a lighting rod. I figured it out a long time ago that I am different from everyone else and what my "purpose" in life is. It doesn't matter what you think about me, because it would not slow me down for one second from what needs to be done.

I fell for the Woodies CCI Club hook, line and sinker because I thought he had "purpose". The slogan, Traders helping Traders, just helping people learn to trade and giving any profits to a charity from events.....just a good old guy giving a helping hand. But after what I saw in Vegas and then Chicago at the first TAL, well I was out there........and as time goes by....more and more people are figuring it out also.

Carolyn or CB on the other hand, did volunteer work at the Crisis Nursery in Scotsdale, AZ and fell in love with this beautiful little girl. She took classes and passed with flying colors so she could help raise her for a short period of time. Well, it turned into a lot longer then she first thought, but CB hung in there until the little girl's mom could get her head back on straight again. Today, she is back with her mom, and they visit each other all the time. If CB's called me this evening and needed anything, I would make sure that I tried 110% to help.....because she has "purpose". What "purpose" do you have??????

Are you just growing older and fatter each day drifting thru life, spending your time being a lounge lizard drinking yourself stupid? Telling off color jokes, and hanging out with other people that have no direction either........making bad choices and missing opportunties everday?

You might want to take a look at Philippains 3:7-9. In order to make money at this game you need discipline, but without "purpose"...what reason is there to have any discipline, oh there will be another trade down the road somewhere..... Choices, Opportunity and Purpose.....are we going somewhere?

I believe trading is 80% between the ears, 15% money management and whatever is left is all the noise you have on your charts......stay tuned if can take the heat!!!! Don't get mad at me if I hit a nerve, think about what you are doing and what you need to do.

LUNCH it's 12:03 here....hehe

As I updated this blog the market hit my target for the day of 715even......and instead of having to wait until 3:40 this afternoon it was able to complete it by 12:05pm........and that is nice........two trades, both winners and how are you doing today??????? Being the cat, the mouse or just some cheese.

Stopped and back in...........

Well, they didn't go after your stop...they came after mine.....OK. But within a couple of minutes we had one of those ideal setups......and we were long again looking for the 715even target.......trade#2...how are you doing??????

Trend day still working......but

WE moved just one tick from my first target of 713.10 so I adjust my stop because of the internals spiking hard to the upside.....now just relaxing watch for some minor resistance we 713.90 and then a move into 715even and be done for the day.
Well unless I get stopped of course......rotfl

First bar back on the hunt again

Tuesday was not a great day for sure....but yesterday and today are making up for the speed bump in the road. Both the first and the third bar are working like a charm with both triggering on the same bar......ticks and spread are both on the long side and we are set for a trend day....update later as to how we did as I am looking for a 713.10 target once we clear this resistance.

Just doing what I do.....everyday...

Yesterday was a tough day and you all know the trades, the patterns I like. You know the setups and the defined rules....there is no, Well if this would have done that I would have tried to take a trade because this was oversold and the slope of the this was below the slope of the last 3 or 14 bars....whatever.

Everyday I take the first bar trade, if it doesn't work out I have been taking the first 3 bar trade......yesterday it was not pretty at all. Did I spend the night in some chat room or searching the internet to find another filter....NO. I went to the Boys and Girls Club awards dinner and enjoyed my evening, more on that tonight.

This morning I sat back down after hearing everyone missed their earnings it seems and talk about how bad the blood bath would be.......yada yada yada the empty suits chattered......

First bar printed and I was long.....then the 3rd bar printed and soon I had another reason to be long.....but the most interesting thing I would like to share is in the ticks. If everyone was looking to short on the open and be a bear all day and make a killing....then why would the ticks only be down -200.....instead of say....-1,000 or -1,200. Just something you might want to study against gap opening......I am going to do a piece on the $prem later this week as time allows.......because the $prem was screamin long right after the open also.......but if you were shorting your heads off...thanks for the piece of cheese today.

When you are faced with opportunity....what do you do????

As we move thru life, everyday we have choices to make and some will be good ones and some just plain won't, simple as that. But the process of making those choices can create yet another problem and that is dealing with opportunity.

I am sure at some point in time, you thought of a great idea for a new product. Taking an old garden hose cutting a piece 6 foot long and attaching the ends so your kids could have something to play with.

Or maybe you saw a piece of property what was for sale and thought, now that would be a great place for a car wash or strip mall.

You were introduced to someone in 9th grade and thought how beautiful, generous and sweet she was and would have liked to become friends with this Norma Mortenson.

But as time passed by, you saw the hoola hoop at Grants, where they had built a new strip mall on your way to the movie starring Norma Jean herself.......missed opportunities.

Trading is full of opportunites everyday, but are you able to take advantage of them or do you watch them go by just as you have all your life. Have the choices you made, the good ones and the bad ones confused you into not being able to see these opportunities or worse.....act on them at the correct time.

Have all the bias you developed over time causing you to now have problems with trading? When you worked for others or owned a business you were able to lay the blame off on others because of your bad choices and missed opportunity. But when you are trading it's not you against the markets....it's just you!!!!

You totally understand that at the end of the day, where the opportunity was, you totally understand how you acted and reacted....and the net result and it eats at you in the middle of the night as you stare at the ceiling. Bo Bennett once said, "The only place opportunity cannot be found is in a closed-minded person." Are you closed minded or are you looking for a way out? The holy grail, the answer and would you even know it.....if the opportunity was handed to you????

First bar trade.....first 3 bar trade.....crown pattern...LOSERS

Well, I had three days off, as started talking to myself about not being able to trade......we just had Christmas and I took off the week between that and New Year's Eve.....of course we were closed on Monday. So I was ready to get at it this morning. I took the first bar trade setup to the short side, even with the wide range bar and a huge gap down......LOSER.

So I have been taking the first 3 bar breakout which has been a good trade the past couple of months. Again it was a LOSER.....loser....loser and a loser. So with in 45 minutes I had two full losers....nice way to start the week off.

Then I like to look at taking the breakout of the first hour range, and it setup nicely so here we go again......BACK IN MY FACE....LOSER.

So then came a bear crown pattern, I was sitting here thinking well something has to work here today.....so when I saw the tiki spike down to -24 and trigger the trade when price had retraced back .618, I was all over it.......

So it sat there, chopping and slopping around and all the time I was thinking... earnings season, ticks above zero, and blah, blah, blah long is the way to go.
The only thing that was giving me a fit was the spread....red, red and gettin reder.....is that with one "r" or two......well I guess in Tennessee it don't make no difference anyhow.

I just got bored, and pulled the trade at 12:03 and left for the day......I left having a losing day. So now what? Well, tomorrow I will be back trying to pick you pockets again, but will I change anything?

Oh I doubt it, some days you are the cat and some days you are the mouse....but no one wants to be the cheese.......Today I was a piece of CHEESE....AMERCIAN CHEESE...but cheese just the same.

Gio and JeanYus workshop coming to the BIG APPLE

Time is running out for anyone that means some good solid information about trading. By looking at the agenda, you can see it's more then just the 18 latest greatest setups of one indicator but the between the ears stuff. I wish my house was finished so I could sit in and learn from another point to view. Every workshop I have attended over the past 8 years, I always came away with a nugget I could use and I'm sure this one would live up to that expection.......

Best of luck and GETTER DONE!!!!!

You make the choice!!!!!

You make the choice. Don't look for a punch line. There isn't one. Read it anyway.

My question to you is: Would you have made the same choice?

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question.

"When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?"

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat that child." Then he told the following story: Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, "Do you think they'll let me play?"

Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging. Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play.

The boy looked around for guidance and, getting none, he took matters into his own hands and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the outfield. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible 'cause Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher took the ball and turned and threw the ball on a high arc to right field, far beyond the reach of the first baseman. Everyone started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!"

Never in his life had Shay ever made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" By the time Shay rounded first base, the right fielder had the ball.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward second base as the runners ahead of him deliriously circled the bases toward home.

Shay reached second base, the opposing shortstop ran to him, turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third!" As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams were screaming, "Shay, run home!" Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team.

"That day," said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, "the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world."

AND, NOW A LITTLE FOOTNOTE T O THIS STORY: We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people think twice about sharing.
The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces.
If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you're probably sorting out the people on your address list that aren't the "appropriate" ones to receive this type of message.

Well, the person who sent you this believes that we all can make a difference. We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the "natural order of things."

So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:
Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up that opportunity, and leave the world a little bit colder in the process?

You now have two choices:
1. Read this and forget about it.
2. Forward it to the people you care about.

You already know the choice I opted for.
Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

Archives are back so you can read some.......If you're bored....

The archives are back, it took me 4 days to clean the spam comments and the trailer trash chicken eatin foul mouth crapola.

But there are a couple of things I would like to make clear.
1. This is my blog and I will publish what I like, just like a newspaper, magazine or television does and I don't need any advise on what to say or do. But if you feel that it's necessary please keep them coming.

2. I "will not" allow any comments that I do not like for whatever reason or no reason, to be posted....just like an editor does at a magazine, newspaper or television.

3. Word verification is turned on, because of other people trying to sell their crapola on my blog using spam tactics.......and that isn't going to happen. Also if I missed a spam comment and you click it on and get a virus......WELL, you deserve it, simple as that.

4. Comment moderation has been enabled for two reasons, first some of the spammers have been able to get past some of the word verification. The other reason is that it just as easy to reject a comment from an email....then it is to go find some foul mouth post. There is always a few that screw it up for the rest of us........

4. Now you can post a comment and we all enjoy them, but if it's off color in any ways then don't be surprised if it gets dumped in my recycle bin.

The masses demand beer and sex......

The masses demand beer and sex.
One day SAM ADAMS and SAN MIGUEL were riding the SIERRA NEVADA. They were enjoying the beautiful view of ROLLING ROCK, sage BUSCH, streams of BASS, FLYING FISH and DOGFISH and off in the distance, BRAHMA, HOLSTEN, and even MOOSEHEAD. (No, this isn’t a Brokeback Mountain promo.)

As they were making their way down the SLEEMAN their DOS EQUIS got spooked, at the sound of a COLT 45. There, in front of them, was PETE’S WICKED stepbrother KILLIAN trying to have his way with MATILDA BAY. One hand was on her HEINEKEN, while, the other was trying to remove her LOWENBRAU. This was no ordinary SPATEN.She needed a lot more than COURAGE to ward off his JOHN SMITH. Desperately, she tried to kick him in the GUANGDONG, missed, but got him in the CORONAS. As he was going down, her friend, KIRIN, from OLD MILWAUKEE, hit him over the head with a LABATT 50, so hard, not only did it knock the SCHLITZ out of him, but he was seeing a LONE STAR. Then STELLA ARTOIS coming upon the scene, looked down at him,” TOOHEY, next time I’ll take a HARP to your YUENGLING and put this ANCHOR where the ASAHI don’t shine”. VICTORIA BITTER from NARAGANSETT, laughingly said,” now, wouldn’t that be a blow to the PILSNER, talk about, DINKELACKER.”

Which shows, that just because ST.PAUL I GIRL wears a CHIMAY that shows off her BODDINGTONS, don’t think she wants to FOSTER every TUBORG and BECK’S, just to get a RHEINGOLD. In fact having gone, for a drive with BUD DRY in his RED STRIPE she’s now BUDWEISER.

For you Micro Brewery lovers, may you never suffer from cenosillicaphobia.

Life is an interesting journey, as you look back thru history. It wasn't the most powerful or richest that changed the world. But people like Carla Barton, Rosa Parks, The Wright Brothers, Abraham Lincoln, George Carver, Vernon Rudolph were just folks that ended up for whatever reason changing the world forever. It always starts small, but as time passes it grows....and grows...and grows like storm clouds gathering..........over Selma.

It can't be slowed, it can't be changed once it starts......it just keeps growing.

And then it become something else........
"I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope. This is the faith with which I return to the South. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring." And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania! Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado! Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California! But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia! Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee! Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

And then it changes everything...........forever, it only started with a vision...BUT
"And they were telling me, now it doesn't matter now. It really doesn't matter what happens now. I left Atlanta this morning, and as we got started on the plane, there were six of us, the pilot said over the public address system, "We are sorry for the delay, but we have Dr. Martin Luther King on the plane. And to be sure that all of the bags were checked, and to be sure that nothing would be wrong with the plane, we had to check out everything carefully. And we've had the plane protected and guarded all night."

And then I got to Memphis. And some began to say the threats, or talk about the threats that were out. What would happen to me from some of our sick white brothers?

Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn't matter with me now. Because I've been to the mountaintop. And I don't mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land. And I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord."

In a heart beat it's over, the vision is lost in time.....but the dream does live on, in all of us. Has any body here,
Seen my old friend Abraham, Can you tell me, where he's gone.
He freed a lot of people, but it seems the Good die young.
I just looked around, And he was gone.

Has anybody here, Seen my old friend John,
Can you tell me where he's gone. He freed a lot of people,
but it seems the good die young.
I just looked around and he was gone.

Has any body here seen my old friend Martin,
Can you tell me, where he's gone. He freed alot of people,
But it seems the good die young
I just looked around and he was gone.

First Loooooossing trade..........dang man

I have been updating my links and when I checked back to this one...what did I find? This blog had a track record that we all would like to have, they even had a instant message thing built into the blog......

Last entry was 01/02/06 asking if they stopped posting. Last entry before that was the end of October, talk about not being able to take a losing trade...ROTFL. Needless to say but the link to this blog is:

YOU'RE OUT OF HERE!!!!

Your destiny is a matter of choice, not chance.

Everyday since we were born, we are faced with choices. No one that I know ever sets out to make wrong choices, but they certainly do happen. Some choices are easy, bacon and eggs or a waffle, Crest or Listermint, vanilla or chocolate, but some choices are a little harder, Ford or Chevy, mini van or a suv, loafers or wing tips, glazed, powdered or jelly filled.

I never hired anyone that I thought, at the time, would not be a good employee, but as time moved forward....I sure fired alot of bad ones.....
Some of us have married, again we never would marry someone if we thought, at the time, it was going to be a bad choice, but there are a lot of war stories out there.

So what does are personal choices in life have to do with trading....you ask? Well, he started out trading with wide eyes and believed he would strike gold. But as time moves forwards he find himself in a very uncomfortable position as account balances move lower and time goes by. He started to realize that if things don't change this could become a serious problem. A second mortgage here, maxed out credit cards there, cash out from an early retirement almost gone, IRA cashed in or even tapped into the college fund for the kids......the things people do in search of the Holy Grail.

Good choices, bad choices is the reality he lives with, he locked into things because "he thought" this was the path paved with gold but it turned out to be just bricks painted yellow. He is now at a point, in time, that is critical and what should he do now in order to turn the ship around before it slams into the rocks as the waves continue to swell.......what indeed?

First, he would have to take a hard and long look at himself in the mirror, laying awake at night wouldn't help overcome the problem now and consider the bad choices he has made. He would have to decide "for himself", that the good choices he thought he had made a while back were really turning out to be bad choices.........and he needs to work on something else.....something new.

Before that day comes, he can feel it with every trade he takes, the hoping and praying that this one will turn the corner. Your pulse is racin' and your temperature starts to rise.
Any every ounce of fear, is showin' in your eyes.
You grab on tight as the coaster starts to roll.
If you think you're in a dream, you're nothin' but a fool!
You're in a nightmare!
Nowhere to run to, in a nightmare.
Nocturnal dispair, in a nightmare.
Where will you run to, in a nightmare?

And all at once your world is filled with light.
And you see reality passing out of sight.
A grand illusion unfolds before your eyes.
You turn to run away, then you realize ...
You're in a nightmare!
Nowhere to run to, in a nightmare.
Nocturnal dispair, in a nightmare.
Where will you run to, in a nightmare?

And through the fog there lies a mystical light.
The catacombs of fear, will be explored tonight.
Shadows of death, fight to take your soul,
Surrounded by darkness, you're in too deep to know ...
You're in a nightmare!
Nowhere to run to, in a nightmare.
Nocturnal dispair, in a nightmare.
Where will you run to, in a nightmare?

Are you ready to learn something new?

So it looks great inside with the English Chesnut stained doug firs post and beams against the natural color of the pecky cypress.

But the gable end where the 46 foot tree is located has an octagon surrounding it, so the process of building the gable end starts.

It will lay over the top of the tree, and has to be notched. Of course, it was already notched from the first time around. And using a surveying instuctions we were able to get about a inch from where it was before........Each piece will have to be hand cut...one at a time.

We were going to use LVL's for the support beam from the 2x6 wall up to the top of the tree but the engineer requested we use TGI's instead. After listening to him tell me why for 15 minutes, I said......oh yea you bet...no problem. After the two TGI were set, then they framed out the rest of the gable end.

This will be an interesting build out, the octagon roof system has to blend into the great room roof system on the right side. This is along with the purlongs being at a 30 degree pitch. Should be intereting for sure.

No this in not a fighter from Star Wars, it's not a warrior from Lords of the Rings and no it's not Michael Jackson either......it's just DJ trying to keep his ears warm.....

The installer for the T-1 line in working to install their equipment so we can have internet access at the house. This allows ADT to watch the house, along with us from anywhere in the world. In fact, I am watching the property as I do this post. Around 10-10:30pm every night or so a bear about 200 pounds make his/her way around the property looking for scraps from the guys. It sets off the motion cameras everytime he/she comes around because of the amount of body heat. I would post a picture of it, but believe it might be better if I don't.......no need giving a way any secret sauce.

Chat room rules by you know who!!!!!!!

JAB said...
THE TOP 10 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CHAT ROOMS

10-Be careful in your choice of nicknames. You don’t want to be Viagraman, and then be constantly saying, “I always do better when I’m short” (we know you’re lying) or Babydoll, “I only do spreads and after I make $ 500 I call it a day” or Jacko, “hey kids when’s the next TAL”?

9-If you’re new to a room, the first week; use LOL, ten times a day, BTW, four times and ROTFl, at least once.

8- Your second week, don’t use any of the above.

7-If you’re bored, don’t bore others with inane comments like, I wonder who invented two plus two equals four or my aunt Millie’s always complaining about her boils, and I tell her ‘well at least you don’t live in New Orleans’. If you’re that bored make yourself useful and pop bubble wrap.

6-Don’t bring up politics. I love Birch beer, birch is my favorite tree, my wife’s maiden name is Birch, our pastor encourages us to say ‘son of a birch’, Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Adolpho A.Birch.Jr, my favorite city is Birch, Idaho. Maybe there is something to that John Birch Society.

5-If you feel you must bring sex into a chat room, be sensitive to others. A eurot kiss may be innocent to you, but it may remind someone else of their 377 pound Bavarian aunt, smelling of liverwurst and limburger cheese, while, hugging you to her bosom on the hottest day in July when you were a six year old. Avoid sexual innuendos. Your nick may give you bragging rights but until we see the real thing we aren’t interested nor care. Besides, for every woman that may think of you as a woody (or is it ie), there may be twice as many who see it as ZLR.

4-Don’t get into social issues. Who doesn’t want to preserve the earth and return to nature? If that’s your reality check, then become Amish, live off the land with no electricity, and then try and join a chat room.

3-Don’t get into religion. Ya, we’re all born again, wear a cabala wristband, eat fish on Friday during Lent, believe in enlightment by karma, think Tom Cruise and the “study of truth” is cool, want Nirvana after many reincarnations, Mecca is in Saudi Arabia, believe all bugs are God’s creatures, love Jamaica, ganja and Bob Marley, and give to Hare Krishna at the airport.

2-Don’t get too personal. Nobody’s interested in looking at pictures you drew as a three year old that are still magnetized to your parent’s fridge. No one cares that you were conceived on Yasgur’s farm while your parent’s were tripping on Jimi Hendrix. Do you think anyone gives a horse’s pootie that your cat ‘Inky’ can cough a fur ball over three monitors, I don’t think so?

1- Make sure the moderator doesn’t know your real name. You never know, it could be an IRS guy, the transvestite you met in that seedy bar when you were all liquored up on a recent business trip, the guy from Chippendale’s you had the one night stand with, while, your husband was in the Far East on business or the ultimate; it could be your dentist.

Please join in remembering a great icon......

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack,The California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy "as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded". Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he was still a crusty old man and was considered a roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly dad, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for abut 20 minutes.

If This made you smile for even a brief second, pass it on to someone who kneads it!

Fianlly getting somewhere......

The space between each purlong is exactly 4 feet, this way, you can use 4, 8, 12 and 16 foot long materials and there is little waste. They snapped vertical lines so everyone could tell if one end was gaining over the other and the board would look like they are leaning one way or the other.

It a process as they did 2 wide boards and 1 narrow one as they worked across the roof. 6 boards on one side, then 6 boards on the other side, again we do not want one side to gain over the other and the boards did line up perfectly.

It starting to look like something as they work across the roof system, I made sure that everything was finished before it was lifted in place, including 3 coats of varnish on the pecky cypress.

When you take a break, you just sit down and relax for 15 minutes and smoke a cig. Coffee is brought up to you and a snack........love those KKD's.

It really looks great, and these pics just do not show the colors very well. Reds and purples along with the nature tan and browns.

It took two days to run the boards across the roof and three boxes of nails....rotfl

The date was December 2nd, 2005 when this pic was taken.....you can see the new window design and how the rafters and purlongs were finished...

This pic was taken the day before the fire on August 2, 2005. So it took us 4 months to rebuild what it took over a year the first time, but with the great new window design and other improvements, I hate to say....this is just awesome now!!!!!!

Just never never never give up on a dream......NEVER!!!!!!......no matter what.....and in trading it is the same......if you want it badly enough you have to live it, eat it, study it, feel it, dream it and love it to your last breathe

First bar trade....a review

Monday, the first bar was to the long side, but within a few minutes it took out the low of the first bar, just enough to stop ya out and then did a moon launch...dang it.

Tuesday, the first bar was to the short side, just enough to get you short and proceeded to blow you out of the water by reversing in your face....dang it.

So what can you do, without using 17 more indicators to filter out your setup? Well, Olemickey, shared in TradersHaven on Hotcomm.com relay7 several times that he likes to take the first 3 bars and apply the same rules for his first trade. So after watching this suggestion for months in real time. I have included it into my trading plan and it's simple. If the first bar trade fails, I take the 3 bar setup and so far it has proven to be a nice winning trade setup. Both Monday and Tuesday this trading plan worked like magic, first bar trade had a loss but I got it back plus profits on the 3 bar trade.

You might want to take a look at this idea.
